Importing into Wedge / Re: Import large WBB to Wedge
« on August 20th, 2015, 03:00 PM »
Have no idea whether importing would work.
Good news, though, is that it's risk-free for you: it's not an upgrade tool, it's an importer, so you can run both versions side to side.
Wedge is pretty final these days, only thing left to do is to change the license to something less restrictive.
There are still bugs around, but if they get in the way I'll fix them eventually; also, some features are missing or unfinished, such as the friend & list system which I never got around to write an extensive UI for. Anyway, it's still working, just not as fantastic as I imagined it.
Wedge, itself, is fantastic enough to overlook that. ;)

I wouldn't blame England for Pete, just like I'd ask you not to blame France for me... :P
Some of the people I respect the most are British.

Please don't bump a topic with a title that might not be related to the current situation...?!
Well, regarding Pete, his 'dream', his 'drive', is quite interesting actually.
I mean, for the 3 years we worked together, he said 'I'm not interested in Aeva Media, I have no use for this, I'm letting you integrate it into Wedge because you want it, but don't expect my help'.
Then he leaves the project, and... starts his own (paid for) media gallery?! And then at the same time, out of a stunning coincidence, Aeva Media gets removed from the official mod site?
What an example for future generations...
Taught me never to work with someone else again on a free project. I would have released Wedge 3 years ago, if not for his shenanigans... :-/

Err, yes you're going to have bugs at install time if you don't already have an older 2.x version installed (and then uninstalled, of course.)
Am I not offering it for downloading anymore...?!
Gosh, I don't even remember what's wrong with that bug, never bothered to fix it...

Bug reports / [Aeva] Re: Non-SSL on SSL Connection
« on June 7th, 2015, 10:02 PM »
Have no idea if that's a solution.
Re TW3, I've probably accumulated 50 hours of play time, and I'm still in Act 1. Actually, I've deliberately chosen not to advance any of the three main quests, just doing some exploring. I finally went to Skellige a few days ago and it's even better than the previous regions. I've got all Gwent cards that aren't related to quests triggered later in the game. And I still can't beat some basic Skellige players. Lol. Like the innkeeper in Kaer something.

I played through the Witcher 1 prologue years ago and disliked it. I should have insisted... Universe is so great. I'm excited to try it out again after I'm done with the third. And wedge :~¶
I'm still not a big fan of Geralt's slowish movements though!
Oh yeah and there's the TV show. It's cheap but I'll look into it. There's a HD version on YouTube.

Kind of stuff gives me a headache...
Already had a hard time remembering how to patch wedge to support https there ;)
I'm not sure it can be done without restructuring some code. Or maybe it's just a matter of adding a byte in a regex, lol.
Not working at all on wedge these days. Busy with 100%ing Witcher 3 ;)

Support / Re: Error on Aeva 2.10 Installation
« on May 31st, 2015, 06:19 PM »
Aeme 2.10 is buggy, you can find a workaround at aeva.noisen.com, but basically you have to install an earlier version of it first, then uninstall and replace with 2.10.
I know, it sucks... But I don't sell enough copies these days to bother, sorry.

- Reverting some debug code that was totally not supposed to be committed. This was for the non-generic contact list feature. Although the structure and idea is available for it, I have yet to write a UI, or rather, have someone cook it up for us. I'm too old for this shit™. Also, commitment to Wedge is incompatible with roaming the lands of Velen, and that Ciri isn't gonna save herself. Or maybe she will. Anyway. (Profile.template.php)a

Support / Re: How I can set a forum read only ?
« on May 24th, 2015, 09:36 AM »
You could simply delete all membergroups and just set the rights for the guest group (and/or member group).
I think there's also a whole system to copy permissions from group to group(s)... Etc.
Really, no biggie.
