Hmm. Derek was never one of the easiest people to get hold of, and from what little I did see of him, he was pretty pro 'the establishment'.
He's the server guy, right? And that indirectly gives him the right to stall Wedge's release? ::)

rev 706

! Fixed Highslide by replacing it with an older, more solid version... Until I get to replace it with another library, really. (highslide.js)

We know that, Dismal. But I think you should be less upset/frustrated about people treading this lightheartedly. They're not making fun of deaf people at all, and certainly not of *you*, you can be sure of that.

Yeah I know, as I said-- I didn't implement the "you are ignoring this user" stuff in the Display template. I usually find this to be inadequate anyway... It's always tempting to just view the posts.

Yeah, it's not in my template... Sorry about that ;) But still, it should work when ignoring PMs.

rev 705
(8 files, 12kb)

! Fixed hover popups in album pages. The IE hack makes use of the selector precedence algorithm. I think it's the first time I actually devised this, instead of doing it by chance. (media.css, ie6.css, ie7.css)
! clear_thumbnames should be set by default, because we want the best possible performance for avatars. (db_aeva.php)
! Media Maintenance tasks were broken. (ManageMedia2.php)
* Don't turn -moz-border-radius into -moz-webkit-border-radius, things like that. Remember, friends: just use border-radius. Wedge will do the rest. (Subs-Cache.php)
* Fixed uploader script and converted the rest to jQuery. (up.js)
* Minor details. (Load.php)

@Note: Highslide is broken (again). I don't know what exactly caused this, since it worked up until the previous rev, if I'm not mistaken. :-/

Bad Behavior
Yeah, Pete worked hard on that one. I was really impressed :)

OK feel free to slap my hand hard here if I'm out of line..  :o
I'm slapping you, not because you're out of line, but because you shouldn't ask questions, then insult people who answer you.

What I would like to see is a Alpha version completed with the things that Nao and Arantor have already thought of putting into Wedge.
And Lorenzo told you the exact answer: you can't see an Alpha version because we can't release it.

We can, however, release a demo site at any point. The details are being discussed in private.

If they tried to implement all the wizz bang things all the people want into the first release we would soon be in the same situation that smf is in, six years and still no gold, while other software has progressed way beyond smf.
SMF isn't in that situation because of that... On the contrary. They're stuck because they're not implementing anything and they got bored. (Well, from what I could gather.)

They froze SMF2's feature set in late 2007. Everything after that was supposed to be focused on fixing bugs. Quite frankly, 3 years of bug fixing? That's ridiculous. Laziness on the SMF team's part. Everything they do seems to be about discouraging action. Look at this bug report -- easy fix, done in under an hour in Wedge. A week in, they still think it's a problem on Aaron's setup.

Just my 2 phennings worth. I'm not a coder, I'm a Admin who has had to switch a few sites for customers to V-Bull because of the slow development of smf 2.
Eh, we announced Wedge back in November, not our fault if you can't trust us

Tell ya what, ill get my old brother word processor and mail nao a letter and make him type it up for more english practice. lol
I'm not your assistant, and I own the place. Show some respect.

If you want to be read by others, then get to work. Otherwise, know when to quit and go away.
Although I'm not the ban-button kind, I never said I couldn't temp-ban people.

Heck, I could have implemented a couple of features in the time it took me to deal with all of your crap.
