We're gonna get new kinds of support questions, don't worry...
"I don't get it, I'm trying to paste my regular custom CSS into your index.css, but it keeps giving me errors!"

Hmm... We could do screenshots.

But I'm currently documenting all of the new features (I took a short break to fix and improve the user menu in topic pages -- now it's looking great!), and once I'm done with it, I'll be splitting the list into several topics, and one of them will be about the new theme -- so yeah, I guess I'll publish screenshots of it in that topic.

40000 posts gone with a single enter, that would create a big shockwave throughout the forum.. :D
The SMF team would argue that 40k, out of 2.8M, is just about 0.015% of the total post count...
Of course, 80% of the posts at SM.org are pretty much the same: "I have a problem cuz I'm a noobs but it's the software's faultz, helpz me or I'll install vBulletin instead."

Not that it'll be much different here once we release ourselves... :^^;:

Features / Re: New revs
« on April 26th, 2011, 03:23 PM »
rev 738
(5 files, 11kb)

* Rewrote user menu to use as little JavaScript as possible in the HTML page. Everything we need is processed in topic.js, and strings are stored in a new object. Also removed current_user_menu global, as it wasn't needed. (Display.php, Display.template.php, topic.js)
* Improved user menu styling. (topic.js, index.css)
* Spacinazi. (Class-Editor.php)

(Pete, feel free to tell me what you think about the rewrite.)

rev 737
(5 files, 10kb)

! Fixed user menu not staying open[1]. Also restyled it a little, and added an opening animation. (topic.js, index.css)
! Fixed outdated fixes in IE6 menus. (index.ie6.css)
* Moved some JS from the Display template to topic.js, and a class to where it should be. (Display.template.php, topic.js, sections.css)
 1. Finally!!

The only time I made someone discover Dr Who, I showed him Blink first... Not my favorite episode (in my tope 5 though), but I knew it'd be 'the' episode. He watched the whole show the following week ;) (And got me and Milady to get lost in London trying to find his dread Who Shop... When the same amount of goods were to be found the next day at Fantastic Planet. D'oh.)

Please make sure the menu css changes work in your favorite browser! (Tested browser list is below.)

rev 736
(8 files, 10kb)

* Removed padding parameter from the main menu, and replaced it with a few CSS tweaks that should allow for it to work the same. Tested successfully in Opera 11.1, Firefox 3.6, Safari 5, Chrome 12, IE6, IE7 and IE8. I think. (Subs.php, index.template.php, index.css, index.ie6.css, index.ie7.css)
- Hover emulation in IE6 was slow. Removed emulation from form elements and the .css class to save time. (.css is never used once JavaScript is active anyway.) (ie6hover.js)
* Hey Nao, you know you can use jQuery in events, right? (Aeva-Foxy.php)
* Spacinazi. (Profile-View.php)

Out of your current behavior other there? As far as I know, were they to ban you, they'd get a very visible community backlash.

Whatever they feel/fear about Wedge, that's their problem, but you don't shoot the messenger.

Yeah -- that'd be the recommend path to take anyway!

Hopefully you didn't miss the Christmas episode either! That one was a keeper. (Well, I liked the "Next Doctor" one, but the new one really rocked. Moffat at his best.)

* Nao/Gilles enjoys seeing so many Who fans here!

It's far less bad than many of the things others have said, hell it's far less bad than some of the stuff I've said to them, and for some reason I'm not banned yet...
You know why they didn't... They can't cut the branch they're sitting on. If they ban you, they lose their most important support provider. Why would they do their job when they have you to do it for them...?

That kind of implies we're not loyal. We were, once. Then we were shafted, and the fact that we chose SMF as a base rather than doing something from scratch should tell you something about our loyalty to the platform if not the project.
Yeah... We're loyal to the platform.
*Who* exactly in the SMF team spent the last 8 months doing nothing more than waiting for "the legal stuff to get sorted out"?
*We* weren't sure the legal stuff would get sorted out... Yet, we didn't let that stop us and we worked hard on Wedge.

Come to think of it, really, Wedge *is* SMF, or at least what it's supposed to be in 2011. What's called SMF2 is more of a running gag to me. It's a museum of 2005 techniques that were great at the time -- but irrelevant today.
I think we should all remember that SMF used to be run by first-grade programmers who spent an awful lot of time building a worthy platform. All of these developers have left since then -- many of them are our friends and they're excited about Wedge and what we're doing with it. I'm sure that's because they're extremely disappointed with what the "official" SMF team did with their hard work.

We're the unofficials. We fight in the shadow. We are Wedge. (Best said out loud with a raucous voice.)
