It's often all about offering to use custom fields inside posts (text items.)
With this, you can do a lot. And I'm sure we'll end up doing that in Wedge. We already have tags under the hand -- technically it's a custom field...

They've always give beta badges to anyone, and not cared a bit about whether or not they did anything. When I was made a tester, I worked hard to 'deserve' it. Pff, I wasted my time. Most of my reports went unnoticed anyway... Wasted talent really. The best beta tester for Wedge is me :niark:

But SMF always did, AFAIK? (It's just a matter of adding accept-charset="ISO-8859-1" into your textareas... Browsers do the rest of the job!)

But a portal isn't just the main gate, although the name says otherwise?

As mentioned in the private area -- it's a jQuery bug actually ;)
http://bugs.jquery.com/ticket/9109#comment:5 (with my fix.)
Although technically, it's also IE6's fault...

Basically, the more popular a host is, the more likely it is to have hidden problems.
I'm very happy with a 'smaller' host like Alwaysdata, personally. (Plus, they and shaitan are kind enough to donate hosting for now :))

-15 doesn't have a lot of differences with -1, it just adds a few special chars including ¤, yeah I think it's in 8859-1 then.

Tell you that. Just try reading Web design magazine or whatever, forgot the exact name. It'll make you subscribe to .net in a second :P
Although I'm so addicted to these magazines, I'm considering subscribing to the other crap, just to have some more reading material. (It's that, or I'll spend more time watching South Park.)

I don't know, I think I've seen enough sites that use WP as a CMS and many of them 'feel' like they're built upon a CMS, yes.
Only, it's not a proper CMS in the sense that it wasn't originally built as one. It's only be turned into a CMS these last few years. Just like Wedge may become a full-fledged, but not 'proper', CMS in the future.

Añyway, Ñ is part of ISO-8859-15 which is the default here, so it won't be converted to an entity at all. But if you want to use 尚, you can. It just won't be encoded in UTF, it'll be an entity. (Look at the source code.)

But shhhh, apparently SMF users don't like the term ;)
And to me, a CMS is a tool that helps web agencies build quick websites with pages and such. (Basically, a copy of SMF with a portal is a CMS.) But that's because I read .net Magazine too much :P

Yeah, but you know what? Making stuff work in IE6 (i.e. not break horribly) is much, much harder than trying to make IE6 look modern ;)
I have problems with it on a daily basis... Just so it won't *break*. In fact, I'm currently getting pissed at IE6 for not playing fair with my Zoomedia rewrite.
