And it'll never end... :P

I just spent half an hour redoing a Yanone-based logo from scratch (with some proper border this time), only to scrap it in the end...
Nah, I'll just go without the logo.

Okay, I'm convinced... I'm removing the logo entirely from the theme
Just the triangular symbol will do!

The reason is painfully obvious: it doesn't look good on dark backgrounds. It was only built with light backgrounds in mind... And since the Wine styling in Wedge has a dark footer...

Well, I suppose I could do *without* the logo in our theme...

- Space between letters: I specifically made sure to get as little as possible. Same for both logos, actually... I like it when text logos don't have much empty space.

- Yeah, the font is really good. It looks professional and not dull. That's PT Sans (check it out on Google Fonts). I really like its simplicity. Have fun with it :)

- The strike-through line is definitely your idea, yes. But I liked it! Just because I'm trying different logo ideas doesn't mean I'm forgetting earlier good ideas ;)

- BTW, welcome back! What's up with SMF and Wedge then...?

When we need funds we'll figure it out. We aren't doing this for money -- the real money is not in free software. I come from a business world where money is everything. Meh.

Art by committee is not a good idea, but neither is staying in your ivory tower, impervious to the real world.
I've never let 'majority' dictate my behavior, but I've certainly been influenced by it.

Yeah, everyone gets cold feet when it's about leaving the comfort zone...

Maybe is that. I also like the left better but maybe because I am already used to see those colours.
Even with a dark background?
It really sucks to me...

I can see what you want to do with the right one though, but what I like less there is the colour of the background.
But the background is *Wine*... It's the footer! :^^;:

The entire point of changing the logo, is that I don't see why it should be in the header, where logos for the custom site should be, not logos for generic software... Only problem is, Wine has a darker background in the footer, and our current logo sucks on it.

Another mockup with similar palette to the current logo, and a gradient effect. (Now it reminds me of old 16-bit demo fonts :P)

:edit: Added another, with more greenish colors.. The 'd' is kinda screwed up, though.

But the fact that she knows the shots do nothing and she knows why means she's aware of who it is and how that works.
Or she's just acting at this moment... Trying to make it look like she 'doesn't know'... Although it seems a bit far-fetched (I actually forgot that moment. Honestly, I don't remember much about the first episodes...)

Your theory is certainly more cohesive than some of the ramblings I've heard thus far, and it would seem to explain everything!
Really?

In other news, I wonder how many kids didn't quite make the jump from wedding night to Amy being pregant...
What I didn't get was... Did they actually imply that Rory & Amy had never done it BEFORE the wedding?

On a side note -- it seemed to me that Amy had some baby fat after the birth. I mean, she looked like the part. Did she actually take on some weight to make it look like she just gave birth? :^^;:

Pete, are you meaning to say I did most of the work in the last 6 months?
Haha, erm, yes.
I'm framing this post and sticking it on my wall :niark:

But really, I haven't been doing much since early March... Still working fulltime on it, but mainly doing maintenance work, debugging and such... Not adding anything. Bit frustrating. But work that needs to be done.

Is there an explanation about the bug somewhere, and a test case for reproducing it?
Just try using OpenID, it will fail every time.
I tried, and it just said the sig matching failed... Apparently SMF doesn't build the signature properly (it's probably missing a param or adding one too many.)
I haven't looked into it much, since IIRC SiNaN said this was fixed this week. Can you confirm they did? (i.e. could you sync us to the latest svn?)

You won't get any... They don't have the willingness to work on the release, that's all.
I'm not even blaming them for it. I'm blaming them for making promises originally, when they're so bad at fulfilling them...

rev 797
(5 files, 30kb) (mainly because of binary changes.)

* The stats area in the board info center was way too crowded. Turned the area into an unordered list. (BoardIndexInfoCenter.template.php)

! The mini Wedge logo didn't have the strike-through line in 'we'. (other/images/minilogo.png, images/minilogo.png)

! The main menu icons for login and logout had disgracious corners. (other/images/sprite-menu-32bit.png, images/icons/sprite.png)

Use PeerBlock, it might help... Never got problems, myself.

Oh, and I watched the episode this afternoon... Loved it.
Then again, I watched the Prince of Persia movie right after it, and loved it too. Maybe I was in a good mood or something.
But still, the last-second 'revelation' really was a downer. Was mostly fooled by the twist near the end, the one you mentioned, Pete. I guessed it at best 10 seconds before the trick was revealed, so I consider myself pwned. Nice feeling eheh.

And several hints are already there for the follow-up. I mean, we'll probably get to see the Doctor in the Gamma Forests, trying to find River as a baby... Which is where he'll encounter little girl Lorna for the first time...
Of course, he'll fail to recover her. Or maybe he'll just make sure he doesn't -- given that if he knows she's River, he might not want to change her future by saving her...

Also, my current theory for the first episode... Since that scene where the Doctor recognizes who's going to kill him (first scene that made me think, "must be River"), I've been thinking that *obviously* it's not his real death. So, maybe... Maybe the Doctor at that point was a doppelganger controlled by the real Doctor? I know, we don't get to see it die in the same way as other clones, but it might still be a good clue. Whatever happens, it's pretty obvious that River will NOT kill him. Perhaps she WANTS to kill him, though. Let's say she gets educated by the guys in war with the Doctor. They obviously intent for her to kill him at some point. Now, she's been in her astronaut costume in her childhood. Then as a young adult, she must have kept it... She had no contact with the Doctor, managed to track him down, and killed him. Then she learned of who he was (i.e. a good guy), regretted it, then later in her life, when she met him in an earlier timeframe of his life, she tells him that she kills him later, and gives him some way to make it look like he's dead, while not really being dead at all. (So that she stops trying to kill him.)
That would explain a lot... I think.

Odd.

I say right (mainly because of the font and the lightness of it all), and my girlfriend, who's my toughest critic (you wouldn't believe the things she can say :P), says right as well...
