rev 1468
(2 files, 10kb)
* Sorry Pete, I don't think you'll like this commit much. Replaced the Like and Unlike icons with Fugue versions, which are much better looking. Also fixed a few twisted pixels in the original and optimized quickbuttons sprite. New version is a few dozen bytes bigger, but it arguably looks better. (other/images/quickbuttons-32bit.png, images/theme/quickbuttons.png)

Features / Re: Pretty URLs things
« on March 15th, 2012, 08:01 AM »Not what I'm getting at. Physically the wrong URL is put into the DB at board creation time.
I don't think you failed at anything, it's more a case of I see the option in the admin panel but it's really not clear what the option was supposed to do (especially as in ye olden PURLs times, it would cache the title for lookup purposes, not for saving effort during conversion)
The topic cache is always used, we take topic IDs in the page and fetch topic name URLs based on that.
The URL cache is only used if enabled. It takes an entire topic (or board, or whatever!) URL string and matches it against the cache and replaces it on the fly. The topic cache will still require doing a lookup on board URLs to 'add' to the final topic URL, for instance.
Also, is it actually faster to do a query than it is to just do the replacements?

- Board URLs: I think you're supposed to rename your boards manually. And yes, I guess it'd be nicer to automatically fill in the names based on the board names...
- Topic URLs: yes, the key was updated to lose the uniqueness. The title needs to be cached because generating it is quite expensive (especially if it has special chars in it), and we need to replace topic IDs with topic URLs on the entire page in realtime. So it's really not for determining the ID of the current topic URL, it's the other way around. Did I fail at something..?

Bonus: attached the logo I've adopted for the Wine footer. It blends nicely with the... wine color.
I'm working on the Weaving/Warm version, but it's a bit harder to determine the right colors. (And yes, I'm shooting for the same color set as the badges.)

Off-topic / Re: How to piss Arantor off, part 2: take the view that he's a negative person
« on March 14th, 2012, 10:03 PM »I didn't like Twins, I thought it a bit stupid (which is quite impressive given that I do like some of Jim Carrey's films),
I've still never seen Taxi either.

Ah, yes, that's because I worked with Wireless in mind... Didn't check in Weaving itself.
I'd recommend moving it always to the Action menu, because we're not Facebook (or because I'm not very fond of the icon :P).
Dunno. More opinions maybe..? I think Quote and Modify are the two most important actions on a forum, although if Like is prominent, it might get used a lot.

Hmm, I saw Twins at the movies, and liked it. Granted, I've always liked Danny de Vito... But I think it was the first time I remembered him as funny etc. (No, Taxi wasn't shown in France until the late 90's on an obscure cable channel where I happened to catch it with subtitles and all, yay. Now that was a fun show.)
Seriously, you have to watch an Audrey Hepburn movie.
Try Roman Holiday if you're into romcoms (although I doubt it'd be the case these days...), or Charade, a Hitchcockian movie with a funny story.

Also added the full-size logo to the sidebar...
I decided to go for grayscale because a multi-color logo, at this size, just looks a bit silly. And, as the Joker says, Who so silly?

Hey, Davis was still okay by the time my hormones first woke up...
Pete, you probably never watched an Audrey Hepburn movie in your life, then! (I'll also accept any Audrey Tautou references.)

Archived fixes / Re: Linktree
« on March 14th, 2012, 08:16 PM »Just had a look and... Heck, looks like the category links are not even working...?!!Quote * when in a given category specifically
(site name > Community > Category?)
Just so you know -- Subs-BoardIndex.php was indeed an oversight of mine, but I committed the Load.php change in rev 1013, and you (yes Pete, I'm talking to you :P) reverted it by mistake in rev 1016 by committing your plugin work...
I admit that it was a very large commit to make, and I'm to blame just as you are because I try to check all of your commits one by one, but I hope this didn't happen in other areas... :^^;: Hopefully with the latest TortoiseSVN this should no longer happen, should it...? It always tells me to update my stuff before I commit into a file that's been modified.
As for linktrees... Ah, well, it's up to you. Nobody cares but me, and you have as much to say about it, so do it your way and if I really can't adjust to it, I'll say it ;)

rev 1466
(2 files, 1kb) -- not much, sorry! I just thought this needed committing...
! A few links to category IDs were pointing to somewhere else, thus not triggering the actual act of showing the category's board list... (Load.php, Subs-BoardIndex.php)
@ Made a mention that we need to fix the header logo bug... Anyone up for it? :P (Load.php)

rev 1465
(4 files +1, 4kb)
! Inline events contained inside a link referring to <URL> were not being postponed. Also slightly optimized a preg_quote call. (Subs-Template.php)
* Updated Help icon again, this time in a reddish color that should work better across Weaving and Wine. (other/images/helptopics.png, images/helptopics.gif, Wine/sections.css)
* Translation. (ManageSettings.french.php)
