Bug reports / Re: SMF bug 4961 (no index.php or .htaccess file when new attach folder made)
« on April 9th, 2012, 09:39 PM »
I think I discussed it with Dragooon and he implemented it. So do we both win? Unless he remembers otherwise ;)

I suppose the benefits outweight the inconvenience. :-/

Saw your post on aaf. Was wondering if you'd suggest this for here. ;)
What is the license? I'm not on my pc.
We already have plenty of bsd or MIT code so as long as it's compatible...

Plus it might slow things down. Md5 is noticeably slow afaik?

Archived fixes / Re: SMF bug 4913 (convert fopen/fwrite to file_put_contents)
« on April 9th, 2012, 02:51 PM »
I wouldn't bother. We already converted most opendir to scandir for instance -- it only makes the code cooler. This is probably a case of simply adopting better functions when writing new code.

Yea I do.
Because of our recent pm discussion about editing pms after they're sent. Could be a user setting, either way is fine. Obviously if you want to edit or delete a sent pm, you need to ensure it wasn't sent by email already. Otherwise you can only fix typos...

Bug reports / Re: SMF bug 4770 (top level menu items should be clickable)
« on April 9th, 2012, 02:16 PM »
Re: first post, I prefer having them not clickable because of potential usability issues when 'tapping' them twice.
However it might be a good idea to ensure they don't close if you click them.
Re: second post, I don't see what it has got to do with it..?

But isn't it using the same functions as the board index..?
I'm sure it's an easy fix?

Fair enough. But no patience for know-it-alls? I don't think so, considering how many times you derided the fact that it took me 62 pages of discussions with users to reach a consensus on the logo. That should have earned your respect if I'm to understand what you're saying...

Features / Re: New revs

rev 1546
(3 files, 5kb) (yeah, definitely not my most impressive commit... For people who don't care about bytesize :P)
* Saved another 300 gzipped bytes, this time in topic.js, by doing a quasi-complete rewrite of InTopicModeration() (which also fixes a few minor issues). The Display template should also be slightly lighter. Hey, a saved byte is a byte saved. Or the other way around. (Display.template.php, topic.js)
* Spacinazi. (ManageErrors.php)

Archived fixes / [Bug?] Re: Layout problem with long titles
« on April 7th, 2012, 09:12 PM »
That's a possibility.
I'm still unsure about the per-post layout actually. Especially the footers. The quick edit button feels a bit lonely for sure...
I've also considered moving all action buttons there... But it wouldn't work well in Wireless.
