You can't really use mysql_ functions directly, because the connection won't be available to them anyway, as that resource is held inside wesql. That still doesn't explain how come half the classes that are loaded are not registered.
Well, it's very likely that it's a PHP or WebKit bug anyway... That is, something that's bound to be fixed in the future.
And because it doesn't hurt functionality, I think it's safe to just ignore the error for now.

But not all the time either...
And it absolutely never, ever happened to me in either Firefox or Opera. (And IE as well I think...)

I don't see the reason behind WebKit being a problem when it comes to server-side session handling...!

I did a phpinfo both here and locally. The only differences between the two installs are: PHP 5.2.14 on wedge.org (5.3 locally), and session settings: wddx is added to 'registered serial handlers' locally. Also, 'use_only_cookies' is set to On locally, and Off on wedge.org.
Since ini_set() can change that, I don't really see much of a difference...

Even the PHP.net documentations wasn't helpful. I did read a lot of it...

I'm a bit torn between either returning false if !class_exists('wesql'), or instead using mysql_* functions directly to handle session saving... Uh.

Re: the 20k limit, I'm not sure what to think...
I went ahead and installed GM last night. It immediately found and enabled a song from my Benny & Joon soundtrack, so I'm assuming it was in the list of albums Google has. Right. Now, thing is, this morning I'm looking at the titles being uploaded, and seriously: "Benny & Joon.mp3", or something like that... It's currently, right now, uploading that folder.
Good job Google...

I also don't know why it's telling me that there are 4500+ songs I can't upload because I'm over the 20k limit (yet it's still in the upload stage with apparently 500 songs done according to the website... And 3300+ according to the app... Please!), and in the list of songs it didn't upload, there are songs from an album that shows up in my list of uploaded albums... PLEASE, Google!!

Also, technically I'm not sure what to think of the thing. The only way to play the music on my computer is through their website... Which takes a long time to prefetch the audio (?!), and doesn't let me access through albums, only single titles... That's f'ed up. I'm assuming the Android app is just like that... If I'm stuck with a stinky app, I'm not sure there's a point in using it.

Oh, right... Now I cancelled my current import work, removed my main music folder from the import list, and just kept it to import my 'recent music' folder. It says, 'this folder has 1500 files, can import 2500 more files."
Then I click next, and it says I'm over the 20k limit now and I can't import anything and f'off. And at the same time it says "148 items imported from about 5000" in the right-click menu of the music app.

Seriously, has this shit been available for this entire year now...?!

I really, really want to love this app... But right now it's like it's laughing at me and my huge collection. :-/

The Pub / Re: Looking for volunteers to test the Wedge private alpha!
« on November 20th, 2012, 08:10 PM »
I have no problems with anyone trying to make a translation for Wedge... But as I said, this translator would have to be proficient in using diff tools because we're not going to release a language-centric online tool like the SMF team did. (Well, if they shared said tool with us, we could install it on our server but I'm not sure why they would do that in the first place, to be honest.)

Also, sorry about still being very largely absent from here... I can't even keep up with the new posts. I have a few things that are getting close to being committable (fixes and improvements, mostly to Wess), but I just can't find the motivation to come back into the game for now.
Given that it's the very first time it has happened since our officiel début two years ago, and it didn't even happen in my previous burnout situations, I can only reckon that this is half-due to my current burnout, and half-due to my satisfaction at having a half-working alpha out, something like 'now it's your time to work guys' ;)

However, I'll still have to complete Wess and document it either way...
Would love it if some testers were willing to write additional code to add UIs for features like board types and show_when and all those cool features I never wrote a UI for. Honestly, it's not that I don't want to write the UI.. It's that the admin area has become Pete's, and it feels wrong of me to touch it too much. (Or maybe it's just because I hate writing both the French and English versions of every string I have to add... -_-)

Anyway. Wedge looks so cool. I hadn't used it in a couple of days, and it's so cool really.

PS: Pete, the wesql not found error still occurs... And exclusively on Chrome and Safari. Really, it baffles me. I'd suggest we just don't bother, and do a class_exists() test, and if false, just return instead of proceeding. After all, it doesn't seem to affect sessions in any way...

Okay, I reproduced it... I also managed to trigger a bug when doing a 404 on a regular add_css_file call (which I fixed locally.)
I'm gonna have to leave my PC for now so I'll look into fixing the plugin bug later. (i.e adding fault tolerance for '.css.css')

Maybe we should test for '.css' if the file is not found, i.e. just replace '.css.css' with '.css'...? For starters.

Didn't even know this existed...

Too bad it asks me for my credit card number. I'm not a big fan of the idea of giving them (and worse, having them store) my payment details, even if I don't use them... (I mean, someone could hack my account couldn't they?)

Other than that, 20k songs = about 15% of my entire MP3 collection, totalling 500+ GB, so that's at least 50 GB worth of music... Not bad! I could do with that ;)

Oh, crap... Been so long since I've worked on generateDays() AND on sbox.js... I'm afraid I don't remember the specifics... :-/

(Total burnout these days. I was thrilled that I actually managed to commit a few lines today...)

If your css file doesn't exist, it shouldn't even loop through $branches, i.e. not encounter that $ex_string line...??

Hmm... Let's be clear on this, I didn't write the plugin version of that function and as such, it's likely that I made changes to other functions that weren't moved to the plugin version as well.

If anything, the fact that the filename has local/global/replace keywords in it when there's no reason, is proof that the function is quite a bit behind...

Also, would probably be best to create one folder per plugin, e.g. /css/Wedgeward-Calendar/chrome24-123456.css.gz

The Pub / Re: Logo Madness
« on November 17th, 2012, 12:28 AM »
I'm really upset about that bug.

Although maybe last time you voted for the 3rd one, the one I removed in the meantime and replaced with the new #3 and #4...? In which case it'd make sense that your vote got removed.

The font/style is supposed to be the only difference between all these choices. Basically, the logo, square, colors etc. are pretty much final at this point, at least for the footer logo. I'm keeping my options open when it comes to the homepage logo...

Looks like the 2nd logo font is still the popular one, doesn't it?
Well, at least it looks good in small sizes ;)
