Bug reports / Re: Infraction bugs

Didn't read the changelog yet. Actually, I'm instead reading the diff patch directly... :^^;:
It's a huge beast, ah ah.
I'm pretty sure the template can be fixed to show an optional .note box next to board names, either saying $txt['new'] as it does now, or a number to indicate the number of new entries, etc... Instead of just having the 'new' array entry.

Hmm, I'd qualify this as a bug, but YMMV...
Go to Public Area board.
In Search box, type 'plugin revs'. Click Search.
Doesn't return the 'Plugin Revs' topic, which is located in a sub-board of Public Area, i.e. Features.
I think that board search should also include children, or at least offer an option to do so..?

rev 84
(3 files, 1kb)
* Changed !we::$is_guest to we::$is_member. (topic_buttons/TopicButtons.php, users_online_today/OnlineToday.php)
* This one's only there to attract Pete's attention. Updated WedgeDesk's post code to use number_context in a warning, but I think I wrote that because we did another rewrite, so what I'm really saying is, "please finish the update when you have some time :)"... What, can't I be lazy from time to time..?! (wedgedesk/src/WedgeDesk-Post.php)

Yeah, not too cool... :-/
I noticed that plenty of my tables (the ones I added manually year after year...) were in general_ci collation. Uh. Well, as long as it doesn't crash, I guess there's no reason to change it..? (Performance...?? I don't think so..?)
Also, did you look into the session issue? Not that I can't add an isset() test to get rid of the error, but I wanted you to be able to see by yourself, uh....
Oh, and an issue, I'm sure you're aware of it: 'Infraction log' in the board index actually leads to the Moderation log.
Also, for design reasons, the Error log link should have the number of errors next to it, rather than in the title attribute...?

So, it's up... I disabled all plugins, installed the stuff, re-enabled all plugins; I also updated the database structure manually before, using the same code as in install.sql.
Here's a first one... Click on a profile link, get this:
Code: [Select]
I don't know if it's a bug due to my version of phpmyadmin and how it handled my addition, but it's still something I think needs to be pointed out.
Fixed manually through phpMyAdmin; declaration by declaration... Arghh -_-
Did wedge_infractions, while I was at it, even though I didn't get any errors for that one.

Illegal mix of collations (utf8_unicode_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_general_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation 'ifnull'
File: /Sources/ManageInfractions.php
Line: 587I don't know if it's a bug due to my version of phpmyadmin and how it handled my addition, but it's still something I think needs to be pointed out.

Liked the episode.
Wasn't great or anything, but I really, really liked that you don't get to see the Doctor until halfway through the episode. And no Clara until... Well, even later. Proving that we don't need them that much... I want a spin-off around these characters!!
Wasn't hard to achieve, with his poor track record on Who[1], but still: this is Mark Gatis's best Who episode -- ever. Wondering how much of it was written by Moffat[2]...

| 1. | Not on Sherlock, though! |
| 2. | Given that he wrote a few one-liners for the Gaiman episode last year, too... "It's like kissing, but there's a winner"... |

Well, then the one I gave you should work, as long as you replace the '2' with a '1'.
If it won't work, then it's a loading issue, really.

Wouldn't work here, we don't support footnote numbers over footnote numbers... :P
Oh well, reminds me of that '3 doors, 1 chance to win, winning stats are fucked up after you open the first one' theory[1]... It's something that people made up to pretend they're smart! xkcd is a bit like that sometimes... ::)

rev 2092 -- small fixes, and minor notification popup improvements. Anythin' to keep me from the work of going through rev 2091...
(3 files, 7kb)
* Added a subtle hover highlight on the notification link. Main issue is that since I'm relying on CSS3 animations to show the popup, I can't do a proper parent hover because of this technicality when you start mov... err... Is anyone reading? Didn't think so. (script.js, index.css)
* Added another amusing little 3D effect on the notification popup. Just done with a box-shadow. Too much of a good thing probably, so it'll probably go away at some point, but in the meantime, have some fun with it, will you..? (index.css)
! Fixed skin.xml files not properly removing skin directives embedded within an <if> test. Sorry for not seeing this earlier -- this means that in the last few weeks, everyone visiting wedge.org was actually loading Open Sans from Google's font repo without it ever being used... Ah ah, silly me... (Subs-Cache.php)
! Fixed link breaker adding a '...' break effect on links that don't need to be broken, if user tries formatting their link from within the url tag, rather than outside of it. (script.js, index.css)

How good can it look..? I mean, apparently it's Git-oriented, so it probably looks 'amusing' on branch merges, but we don't have those in Wedge..?

Replace with length-1 instead of length-2 actually, because that's the only way it's going to do at least one pass.
What you're looking for, is code that removes ONE marker, right..? The one on the bottom left?

Think again
Meta description should probably hold consistent data within the topic, e.g. text from the first post in the topic, but there's no point in retrieving it again for a non-blog situation, for sure... :-/
Perhaps, at least, in a topic with a poll, maybe we should show the poll question instead..? Although, SEO-wise, it's already well visible...
