No worries, Take your everlovin' sweet time to release Wedge. First impressions mean so much - especially those surrounding disruptive technologies. I so despise FaceBroke. Someday, Wedge may be the personal facebook of the future. Power to the people, negits to the sheeple!

For great justice it should be noted that Wedge being in use on this site should not be considered a 'it's coming very soon' notice. It's ready for us to deploy here, and even then Nao spent pretty much an entire day doing the specific work making it suitable for this site.

I spent over 28 hours on it and I'm feeling like a zombie, see my latest thought... :P

The main issue with Wedge right now is that I've been committing an awful lot of skin changes and hacks that are going to need some clean-up before we can release those... ;)
But there's no better way to test-drive the software than using it on a rather large website like this one!

It's looking really good Nao.  You have already exceeded my expectations of what would be ready and when, so take your time with it now and enjoy what you've created.  A time will come when you wake up in the morning and decide, "Hey, I think I'll tarball this thing up and post it for download."

If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right.  ;)

So far the worst part of Wedge for me is having to fend off all the people who keep asking when it's going to be ready without looking around and seeing that it isn't yet ready, like the number of items in Bug Reports...

True, plus you don't have enough bugs to be comparable with RC2. But it's OK I've got it sussed:

All the new features that you want in the final release - if you've started them, commit them; if you haven't then just make some half-arsed effort - you know just a screen with some vague labels and an OK button that gives nonsensical error messages. Commit these too and, in effect, you'll be feature-locked PLUS the software will be full of bugs.

Release this version then fall out with each other.

Thank you.

I want to ask, is what Farjo just said is sarcasm? I don't quite get it what is Farjo trying to convey.
Pretty much, yeah.

What software are you referring to? RC2 was actually pretty stable.
The way it's meant to be
