Thank you, still I love forums and meeting the people within them.

When the time comes I would like to test this in a production environment. The only thing I would need is the ability to transfer my existing SMF database into Wedge. I have been following the progress since this projects beginning and I am not surprised to see how well its turning out.

If I remember correctly yes, they do plan on creating a SMF -> Wedge converter.

It isn't planned. It's already there. We just won't distribute it until we enter the beta phase. ;)

It was written by TE by the way, not us, but wedge.org was converted very easily with it.

Sounds great... My SMF install is down again so whenever your ready I am ready as well!!

I wouldn't hold your breath on getting a public alpha any time soon, though. While we've had some positive feedback to the private alpha, there are currently a few major overhauls going on that will enforce any further alphas happening particularly promptly, namely the plugin upload system, the ban system and by all appearances the permissions system.

I've had a rough road with SMF and spam attacks since the 2.0 release. Maybe I'm just lucky but out of the 4 sites I host / run the SMF one gets the most attention it seems. So like I said when its ready I'd love to give it a whirl. On a live production environment. Even with the bugs it's probably way better than what I got.

You guys are good at this... I've seen the proof so I can wait.
