....especially as you can arrange you friends into different groups and just post to any groups you want.
This can be done on FB as well, you create 'lists' and add you friends to the lists and you can post/share to any list(s) of your choosing.

I have to agree with Ha² on this, French does seem more logical in many ways. I studied French for quite a few years. My only regret is that I never really followed up with it, so much so that I can only have a 1 directional conversation, you speak to me in French I respond in English :P

Features / Re: View Topic Permissions
« on July 18th, 2011, 06:24 AM »
I had this mod updated but the agreement with the person that did the upgrade was that it cannot be shared or distributed in anyway, along with this one and custom form mod creates what I wanted.

The closest you'll get now is SimpleDesk as you can set the permissions so users can only see their tickets while staff can see all... or almost any variation of permissions you'd like.

1. Never used or cared about 'Pretty URLs' related things so can't comment on that

2. Agreed the Go button can/should go

I prefer he user box on the left, just has a better flow to me that way (also could be just that I'm use to it that way}. Userbox on the left sidebar on the right should be fine.

Went for skins as well, just more use to that term than stylings.

Plugins / [Naming poll] Re: Packages

I went ahead and went for Add-ons. After viewing this topic a few times I started making a few associations

Add-on strikes me as a more global term for adding on features.
Plugin strikes me as a type of add-on and further the type of add-on that makes minimal file edits.
Mod for module will mainly be taken as mod for modification especially by SMFers.
*A modification strikes me as a type of add-on as well, just 1 that adds new features by making file edits.

 1. You really like footnotes, I see :P
Sure do and I abuse them in SD too :D, my users love it in posts they even use it for their OT comments and keep them out of discussion so to speak

Yup and it feels more like redecorating the house or something, but definitely not associating with websites of any sort[1]
 1. not to me at least

I just can't fathom saying lets change the décor of the forum  design, skin, even styling maybe but then again I kinda don't care at all and will just conform to what's chosen :eheheh:

I use that mod as well, but you could accomplish what you use it for without that mod by being rather careful with board access and permissions.

I use that mod only for the fact that I don't like having the post count group as a primary group.

@ Arantor - Fair enough assessment and I agree, I was also of the mindset that if a modder submits a package with much edits and doesn't improve upon it by moving to fewer edits where possible and someone else[1] provides a cleaner package so be it.

:edit: Just seeing Nao's post and yeah that's more along the lines I was heading I guess.

 1. not necessarily you :P
