That was a good read, needless to say I do follow InI and have read the bits about fixing the wrong problems ;)

I won't argue with the logic here though I've been wondering lately if I'd have use for it. It would be a rather specific case and opposed to hiding the certain contents of certain posts  I would hide all but the first post. My scenario is is that we post daily links from a game and each person can choose what they want from each persons list however I find that while everyone is willing to select what they want from the posted links not everyone is actually posting their links for others to choose from. So what I've always wanted to do is post the daily links thread where only the the first post is shown and you have to reply with your links for the day to view all the replies (if someone chose to post nonsense just to access everyone else's links we could easily remedy that and eventually just block them from viewing the list at all). But I still agree this isnt a must have thing.Never used this mod so I'm just going to assume it's rather close to what View/Enter Permissions does which I find extremely useful however my setup isn't aimed guests but rather the existing members. We display all available boards and control who enters which.

Can't really say much about the other 2 either... just felt like throwing my 2 bits in :P

Thanks for creating this topic Nao, great idea really. there has been many times discussion have taken a more technical turn and I'd much rather not interrupt the flow of the discussion with my questions[1].

Fortunately I've been able to keep up with much of what's going on by rereading things that dont grab me right away but going forward it's nice to have a place to raise a few noobish questions re development (new revs) without breaking he flow of ongoing discussions.

1.	heck I've even posted a question or 2 where the responses were more than I bargained for and it was much easier I read and kept up than to interject unnecessarily

I agree it's a more natural reaction to download the pack as you're already there than to copy the url. The phone option hadn't crossed my mind but then again I've never even attempted to get the to ACP from my phone anyway.

If that option is going to be kept it can probably be made the last option on the page then.

This is what I've been thinking all along^^ the only real issue is the name of the page. I can't speak much as how things should be handled with the zip vs gz stuff but as far as the layout presented to the user 1 page is best. SMF's layout isn't really that bad (though it could use a face lift) it's really just the name of the page that's an issue.

IIRC live's theme Grace actually went a step further by providing the options for acquiring packages right above the list of mods which I thought was interesting looking.

As far as the name of the page... maybe View/Install Plugins or Acquire Plugins or something of the sort I suppose.

Will never forget making my school lose the spelling bee when I was in the 7th grade because they couldn't spell colour and favourite properly. An apology years later didn't help much either.

I'd say admin/GM should be just fine. Intro topics or if a welcome plugin is made will take care of everyone else. Also since not all registrant are likely to be "real" members there no need to notify too many folks.
