Im trying to figure out how to set up the new arantor 2000, the remote programmer. Its some very buggy technology, but at least you get quick sarcastic responses and some wonderful british wit at absolutely no charge. :)

Wait, there's a new version of me now, I'm the Arantor 1983 ;)

Oh, I'm definitely buggy at times, but when I run without bugs, I run damn fast :D

Just a note-- we currently (and hopefully never?) don't have any plans to monetize Wedge. It's just free of charge (in exchange of which we'd appreciate not to have to deal with the shit that usually comes with software releases :P).
So, we won't release a free package and a paid-for package. Seriously, the main reason I release a paid-for Aeva Media was because it was becoming a real hassle to deal with the tech support, and many people were insulting (especially in the SMF team, which was the first to benefit from my software's popularity!), and I figured they just didn't deserve the effort. Basically: I made people pay when I stopped caring. Hopefully I won't stop caring about Wedge.

Also, texasman, it'd be cheaper for you to go to Arizona. There's someone over there who has it running ;)

You can't have it both ways, it's either customisable or it's fast. We're choosing customisable.
Technically, it's still faster to load than SMF in my book, even with jQuery loaded............. And that's what counts

And that's not even the half of it yet, there's plenty more to come from that sort of direction. Wait until we get a few other things implemented off the tracker, then it'll be really going for speed.

Like i say, i have zero doubt that it will be rocking software. Im just persistantly but by all means friendly expressing both my own desire to have a place in wedge in some form or another, as well as making the best suggestions i can to help wedge be the best it can be. And aggrivate the hell out of arantor by following him to his new domain. And i spose nao is in that as well. :)

@Pete> You need to do something about the string object btw... I think I posted a benchmark around in the private area with suggestions on fixing that :p

Well, after events of earlier today I realised how much time I'd wasted over there, so here's about the best place to find me.

Errr... Maybe?
Maybe you're talking about the evals? I was thinking about performance issues related to the object overhead.

Oh, maybe. There was a lot of stuff discussed and no doubt some of it fell out of my brain. :/

There is a sidebar. It is not particularly customisable.

Nothing says this will be the final state of play by release. IOW, we're not sure and it's not high on our priority list right now...
