No, there shouldn't. There isn't on SMF as standard, and if there was, it would imply that threaded discussions are possible (which they aren't) - the reply is to the entire thread, not to any individual reply.

Well, for now! :P
We haven't finished discussing this... I still want to do it at some point

But whether we do that or not, I do think that Quick Reply should be available below every post. Only, as a small icon or whatever, instead of a header that takes the entire width.

Lol very funny.

I'm not surprised though. I have an iq of 179. :niark:

Iq could also be based on the number of opened tabs i'm sure.
I found this true - and very funny!

You see: Microsoft has refused to make the IE browser for us MACINTOSH USERS for a decade now (We were already too smart to use it 10 years ago!)

And I typically have 133 tabs open: one for each point of my IQ! And as fast as I close one two others get opened. I'm always wondering which window has the tabs that I'm posting a reply in at the moment ....

occasionally losing track of a thread ..... and posting an urgent reply a day late ....

I typically have half a dozen tabs open, maybe 20 or 30 if I'm catching up on old stuff... fairly sure my IQ's a bit higher ;)

This made me laugh. As we all know, there is a special place in hell for Internet Explorer and those who created it. ;)

I reiterate:

Microsoft TOOK AWAY our IE 5 after having a Squabble with Apple over some long moot point .... I can't get a decent Mac version of __________ from MicroSoft!

Even IF I were Jonesin' for IE on the Mac (HA!) I couldn't get a fix!  Keep that Active X demon (I'm sorry: daemon I think its spelled) away from my door!

And now insert SFX of a flushing sound as the world crappiest and most platform limited browser Flushes itself down itself!

And I originally guessed "Iron" for that 2nd one.

Good Riddance!

Ah, so you're a Mac user?
Oh, Yes! (But I'll GLADLY run Ubuntu on it! Am I up to 11.04? What is that? Natty Narwhal?)

I'm an IT guy with heavy HARDWARE Background - I KNOW Better than to buy a PC! ALWAYS bought a Mac ...  :thanks: :geek:

I will eventually upgrade from my 8 Core Work Station (MacPro3,1 runnin 10.6.8 or that lovely Ubuntu) to this 12 Core (24 hyperthreaded virtual cores) Work Station.  http://store.apple.com/us/configure/Z0M4?select=select&product=Z0M4&mco=MTg2OTQ5OTk

Microsoft won't LET me have their Browser! And I'm SOOOO Grateful! I use OpenOffice 3.4 Dev and ThunderBird 6 (I'm settled in now) and - at last - Microsoft Office can GO STUFF ITSELF!  I don't even know why I let that Leech of a SilverLight plugin Live on ...

I HATE "Lion" (Mac OS 10.7.2) and I'm not Lyin'!  Install an Upgrade over a network - Without a Install and Repair DVD in Hand?!? Not on MY Watch! Not on MY Mac Either!!! Go FU<K Yourselves, Apple!

I'm pleased with the Tower Hardware they make ($15,000 for "get-out-of-the-way-you-slow-AlienWare-Slug" 24 core performance / 8 TB on inboard Storage / and 64 GIGS RAM: ECC Buffered RAM at That!)  Snot, HOT!

But their Software Offerings remind me SO Much of the days of BubbleGum Rock: useless crap but catchy any way. ("Yummy-yummy-yummy I've got Love in my Tummy"  ). No use for it .....

And I really think both Apple and Microsoft are Dinosaurs. (MS - Stegosaur and Apple - Velociraptor) I'm not Happy with Either of them.

And I gave Chrome the Heave Ho when I found an Image containing an upgrade - on my desktop - from their remote server WHICH I didn't Choose to connect to OR Mount! Son-of-a-Bitch! Like it reached up my pants leg and grabbed my balls. Chrome/Picassa/Google Earth - ANY Google "Offering" got put through 'the shredder' AT ONCE! Not letting Google "Buy" me anymore free software 'cause I don't like their price! They got De-rezzed but Good!

No, they obsoleted it. IE 6 was, for its time, quite an improvement over IE 5/5.5. As for IE on Mac, they never really wanted to make it in the first place, just like IE for Unix. It only came along because in the late 1990s, they invested in to Apple and turned out MS Office for Mac, but it was never going to be long-lived - especially since most Mac users stuck it out with existing Mac solutions at the time.

You know you can make one yourself, right? Nothing says you can't do that. And you can buy it on USB stick, though there is a cost attached to that, because that particular stick also comes with a Leopard -> Snow Leopard licence (making it ~$69)

Not to sound like a fanboy but the reality is exactly the opposite. Mac's use PC hardware, there is hardly anything special about Mac's hardware. It's Mac OS X that actually makes a difference(if any).
The way it's meant to be

Well, it is a very specific set of PC hardware, to be precise. It is possible to run OS X on a PC provided that it's an Intel and has similar/same type of graphics and sound attached...
