"Select" code on iPhone
« on April 19th, 2012, 04:48 PM »
Would be useful to have the "select" code link working on Safari Mobile too! :)

Oh... Personal opinion? Screw Safari Mobile, at this point.
The priority would be to fix its fucked up behavior when entering a textarea...!! (I don't know why it fails in Wedge when it works perfectly on Noisen... >_<)

(I'm on iOS 4.x BTW -- maybe it's all magically fixed in 5.0...?)

I thought textareas worked? They worked last time I checked on my devices but I'm using 5.0.

Select mostly works, the only thing that it isn't is the draggable/scrollable part IIRC?

You don't have to tap out of them and in again to be able to type? Even with the Wireless skin..?

Here's wondering whether I should look into the bug as it happens on iOS 4.2, or just the hell with it and expect everyone to upgrade to iOS 5.0...
(I can't upgrade to 5.0, myself, or at least I don't know how to do it. I 'jail-broke' my iPod to be able to run more than 8 tabs at a time in Safari Mobile, but I didn't think of saving my 'locked' version of iOS at the time, and as such I have no idea whether I'll lose all of my data if I have to reset the iPod to update...)

Well, all new devices are running 5.x for one thing, and almost everything that's currently on the market (and going back a version or two) can run 5.x, so there's little reason for it - I mean, it's the likes of the iPhone 3GS that might not be able to do so, and even that I'm not sure about, maybe it can. Certainly the 2010 (first gen) iPad can do so, as can the iPhone 4, and there's been at least one iteration on both of those since.

I don't know what you'll save or lose if you reset, but you could always back it up first?
