Installation problem

Im trying to install Wedge in a newly installed server but i just get a white screen, im clueless on what to look for, im using the latest version of wedge.
Ubuntu 13.10
PHP 5.5.3
Apache 2.4.6

- After the first step?

Can you please post the last view lines of your Apaches access.log?
Error 500 is worse, because it can be anything.
# dpkg-reconfigure brain

Please take a look at your .htaccess.
Is there a line with:

And/or try accessing the installer with /index.php, rather than just /..? Would this work?

(And/or technically, why didn't you simply copy the htaccess from /install into your root folder..?)

Take a look at the log:

Status is 200.
So that's why I believe it's an .htacces thingy.

Did you have a file in this folder?

/etc/apache2/sites-enabled/

If so, please post it's content.

Please add the follwing after DocumentRoot:

         <Directory />
Options FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride None
</Directory>
<Directory /var/www/>
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
AllowOverride None
Order allow,deny
allow from all
</Directory>

Then restart Apache. I think this should solve your problem.

I don´t know if this may help but im using digitalocean vps, i set up the lamp server in ubuntu 13.10, since it could be a problem about the way i configured lamp i created a new vps now with ubuntu 12.04 with the default image they have over digitalocean that comes with lamp already installed and configured by them, this one with php 5.3.10, Apache 2.2.22 and still shows a white screen.
http://37.139.5.119 --> ubuntu 13.10
http://146.185.157.204 --> ubuntu 12.04
Wedge is in the root folder of the www folder.

I'm sure you'll get this error because of the missing "Options FollowSymLinks" directive.
