Oh yes, you're right. I used to *think* it was Motoko Kusanagi from his nickname "Motoko-chan", but now that he's changed to using the kanji for Aoyama Motoko, it's clear it wasn't her...
Ah, glad that wasn't just me, then! :)

(I'm just not familiar enough with Love Hina so it didn't stick with me. I'm not into harem anime. Love triangles are already crowded enough... I'd rather watch Orange Road or Macross for that.)
Haha, it's not generally my cup of tea either, but I was advised Love Hina was "one of those must-read manga" and since it was "relatively mild harem", I read it. Admittedly I liked it most of the time, too. Not one of my favourites, though. ;)

And yeah, Jordan is used for both genders.

ETA: this is going off-topic, isn't it? Feels like a proper pub already. :P

Well he's just a fan of Motoko Kusanagi in GiTS is all...
I always thought he adopted it from Motoko Aoyama from Love Hina? Might be misreading his nick, though.

The one guy/girl I never got around to understanding whether he/she was a he/she is Jordan. :^^;:
As in Eliana Tamerin? She's a girl, afaik.

I prefer the left one, too, yeah. You've made some changes to it, compared to the one in the header, right? I like it.

Assuming the dev that manages the release process actually has the time required. Believe me, it's not an easy process -- it's become more complicated over the years and no-one has taken the time to simplify/automate it -- last time I was involved (which, admittedly, is some time ago), it was a lot of manual work, so I don't envy the one in charge of it now.

I'll be glad when it's out at last.

Long story short, I'm now waiting to see what the second half brings - I'm not quite sure we've had the rising-so-high part yet, and really not sure of the falling-further-than-ever-before moment... I just feel like this episode didn't quite bring that scale to it.
Very true. Also, in retrospect ...

The headless monks feel a bit underused, don't they? I doubt we'll be seeing them again, so for a one-off ... what's with them?

No worse than last week's episode, really. Of course, I can't wait until Autumn (especially after reading the 'will return in .... ' bit!), but the episode ends on an exciting yet somewhat satisfactory note, I think.

It'd be interesting to hear what Pete thinks of it (and whether I'm still this enthusiastic after seeing it again).

Wow. That was pretty amazing, wasn't it?

Tonight's Doctor Who was absolutely fantastic! I know I wasn't expecting that! Sure, I had a few theories theories and some turned out more or less correct (excluding others, lol), but I sure hadn't predicted this. Marvellous, really. :D

That, and I burst out laughing at the 'The Doctor Will Be Back In ...' screen. Superb, something you just have have to see for yourself, this time. It's an experience I wouldn't want to spoil for any of you, haha. :P

Amazing episode. Indeed, Neil Gaiman did not fail to deliver. I agree, easily one of the best ones yet. :D

That said, I'm off to bed. :P

To be fair, it's not surprising there's so much white there, as all but one panels on the dashboard are hidden.

I actually think it's an improvement... Twenty Ten always truck me as too minimalistic. I also like the space-saving new layout of the admin pages, although those require some tweaking, still...

Features: Posts & Topics / Re: Like/dislike
« on May 11th, 2011, 11:49 PM »
Personally, I like the idea of a like/dislike on a post-basis instead of a user-basis, especially if it's not just implemented for messages, but media items (etc.) as well.

Ideally, the feature would be implemented with different levels, if you will: disabled altogether, partially enabled (likes only), fully enabled (likes and dislikes). IMO, that is.

Features: Upcoming / Re: Language tags

Though I don't see this being used often, I agree with TE that one tag with the language as a parameter seems like a more extensible solution that's less prone to accidental use.

As long as it's documented and clear to the end-user, that's fine with me, really. Most admins are capable of finding it in the database anyway.

Assuming they can't see the portions in question, how would this work for moderators/administrators editing a message containing this private tag?

It was brilliant though, wasn't it. Properly bonkers -- a great successor to the first part. This is going to be a superb series, isn't it? :D
