Well, at the time, the main rationale behind having all those unused globals was having them there for mod authors to use, so they wouldn't have to modify the global-line as well — which, in most cases, would cause conflicts.

Now that we're all moving towards hook-based mods, it's certainly time to clean it all up, indeed.

I honestly just use vim most of the time. Steep learning curve, but quite the tool once you've gotten used to it, really. :)

Not sure where to post this, but can I just say I like having the action buttons below the posts? It could do with some more tweaking (the 'more' menu is empty for me now, for instance), but it's a promising move, I think. :)
