Even though I thought the old logo looked fine, I really like this new logo. Well done. :)

Sure, it's our own personal slogan -- 'simple math'. The 'really' was just put there because we couldn't find an adverb that started in 'F'... :P Still, after all the recent (and not so recent) clashes with the SMF team, I'm not exactly eager to have ANYTHING in Wedge that looks like it's a stab at SMF.
'Frankly'? :P

I like CJ's minimalistic logo a few pages back a lot, btw.

The sad thing about the post above is that it's so true ... and Nao doesn't even know this yet.

Ah, yes, we can blame him for this particular ending.

For the record, I think the last episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day just reeks. What a complete waste of time.

Here's hoping tonight's Doctor Who will be more amusing...

Meh, I must've misheard something when I first saw Confidential, because upon review I haven't heard the bit I heard about

the Doctor telling River what she and he will become, in other words that they become lovers -- hence the "oh, I think she knows".

Might have missed it the second time, though. :P

Loved the brilliance of things all coming together and making sense when I watched in a hotel room this weekend, really.

Also: that bit that the Doctor whispered to Melody, for "when you find River", that has to be the Doctor's real name. After all, "there's only one reason I would ever tell anyone my real name, there's only one time I ever could." (Forest of the Dead) If dying, sans regeneration, isn't enough of a reason, I don't know what is.
That was pretty much what I thought, but that was pretty much debunked in Confidential...

Shorthand date: Yes and no. I like always having 'Today' specified, but Nightwish's fork and xenForo go even further (à la Facebook) by giving fully relative dates. I don't like this either, but I think it'd be interesting to find the best of both worlds. Maybe by having the relative date on hover, or something? Thing is, I'm not excited with the idea of updating the dates every minute, so technically having a relative date show up on hover would allow JavaScript to only be run when hovering. I don't know. This warrants discussion.
If you're going do do shorthand dates, I think you should do it the other way around, i.e. give the full date in a tooltip when hovering a shortened date.

I personally like having it optional. I don't think Today and Yesterday need their own option (as is the case now), but I'd like to see an option to choose full dates, 'today/yesterday mode' and fully 'human-readable' shortened dates.

I have to admit I actually had a different idea for tracking topics of interest that wasn't really related to the notifications system.
I'd be interested to hear it, really. :) (Perhaps I've missed a topic?)

I'm still not entirely sold on the whole social bookmarks thing, even though xenForo actually goes as far as putting them in the SEO configuration page, on the theory that Google's +1 and others are actually used by search engines for ranking purposes.
Me neither. Then again, I go as far as block the damn things in my browser. :P

Yeah, I got that. :) I'm just saying an extra bookmarks section is unnecessary if the existing notification system is overhauled -- as it's essentially the same as bookmarking oftopic, but with an additional email digest. :)

The internal bookmarks bit could easily be done by doing an overhaul of the existing notification system, I think.

By adding notification on a topic, you are in essence bookmarking it. If the system is changed to set digest options per topic (i.e. direct notification, daily, weekly, or never at all) and the notification section gets a more prominent position in the profile/user section (which is already to be overhauled, if I recall correctly) then you're done. Well, aside from the social media bookmarks part. :P
