From Order... Chaos
« on July 20th, 2014, 04:01 PM »
Don't know if it's me but reordering forum boards and categories isn't working? I've tried drag n' drop ordering and modifying board details but the order doesn't change.

Bug or no bug?

Did you flush the cache?

Will try it to reproduce it later. Busy at this time.

Can't confirm. Moved categories and boards around and they are all in place...

Weird. Clean install, create two categories with two boards in each. Move them around by drag n' drop, save the new order - they don't move.

If I try to modify the board settings it says they are in the (new) order, but they're not. I change the order, save, change again, save. They don't move :/

I had this too, but when cleared forum cache, it showed right.

I have seen changes not taking place even when clearing the cache, and it is IE caching.  If I open the same page with another browser, the changes are there.  Give that a shot.

I've cleared the cache several times and I use Firefox by default. Just fired it up in IE and the new order is correct. Yay!

But I find I can't login using IE. <_< Bad Behaviour says I'm not welcome... WTF?

Oh well. at least it seems to have identified a Firefox caching issue for me.

Aaaannnd, edit:

I managed to get in using IE and I find the old (unwanted) order becomes visible when logged in. So I now find using IE or Firefox, guests see the correct order but logged in 'members' (that's me) see the unwanted order.

Any suggestions on fixing that?

I'm still having this problem. Guests see the intended board order but once logged in -- IE or Firefox (I don't use any other browser) -- users only see the old board order.

Anybody have any ideas why this would happen?

PHP version:    5.4.30
MySQL version:    5.5.38-MariaDB

No moderators on the board as it's only a test board with myself on there
