Thats funny.... he probably saw that sig and and was like oh boy oh boy oh boy, gonna get me some code help.
Unfortunately folks like him just don't realize the listening is a skill, not a promise and either you are willing and receptive to listening or your not. After enough of "damn I should have listened to them" moments we all learn, just takes some more moments :)

Trying to get folks to agree on color etc is a bit like herding cats, good luck !
For my taste I liked bloc's darker colors, reads stronger and therefore more powerful,
I like the later placement of the tag line so its in the bounds of the logo, provides a bit more order.
I don't like the 3D wedge element *with* the rest of the logo, as it just gets to busy at that point, I'd reserve that for thinks like the badge, faviocn, etc

Yeah ... probably not the best example of the various find waldo problems with that interface, I'm sure its programatically sequenced but often non intuitive, non natural (wrt other programs) for end users .... Anyway to me it should be
Admin > Packages > Options
Set the options of how I want packages, browsed, saved, installed, whatever ... done via options. In that same package area there is the browse packages and installed packages tabs ... installed seems to just be a subset of whats in browse so I'm not sure why its there, I'm sure there is a reason but its not obvious to me.

Not quite sure how that squares out with respect to language strings, mind, but perhaps we could have each scheduled task broken into its own subfolder with its own language strings or something. Don't know yet about that (or maybe, just add the scheduled task's name/description into the DB)

Or how about some javascript magic so that when you are in the post screen when you mouse over the topic summary with a key press you can start / stop text selection and have it be inserted in to your reply inside the quote blocks for ya .....
