ThIs behaviour is unfortunately what pushes so many people to give up with communities. It's always about 'I'm smart so I don't need you to contradict me.'

Basically -- if you think you know everything, then why do you feel we deserve the time you waste trying to educate us? Another nice guy...

I don't know about SEO, but I am more concerned about VO or Viral Optimization I would like to call it over SEO. You know, Open Graph, all the viral metas, all the viral API's, safe viral URL structures and etc. :eheh:

Also known as SNO[1] or SNM[2], yeah, I can see the appeal.

The bottom line, as ever, is that if you create great content, people will want to link to you. Create great content, make it easy for people to share that content and you'll clean up.

Maybe we could offer links like /go/1234 where 1234 is an auto incremented Id pointing to items eligible to shortening, like topics or pics?
