'Thoughts' privacy not functioning properly

Nao, you'll probably remember that the 'thought' [in the screenshot] was initially a 'Public' thought. But then, it was changed to be viewed only by 'Members'. I logged out of Wedge and the thought seems to be visible in threads.

I was looking at my test site and found that the thought is in your personal text in your Forum Profile, and can be cleared from that screen. It seems that the Personal Text box is set from a Thought when the thinker clicks 'Posterity' from the Action menu of the thought itself. Sorry if that is unclear! But it seems that once you have clicked Posterity then the thought is in your Personal Text and viewable by all, whether the thought was private or not.

I have not tested this on Wedge as I have never posted a thought (I'm evidently not very deep :) ).

Sorry missed this topic.

Yes, personal text is set either through direct edit or through a click on Posterity. If you wonder what Posterity does, you can always hover it and wait for a tooltip to show up and explain... ;)

Looking at this again, perhaps the 'Posterity' option should not appear for a thought unless public?

Move this thread to Archived Fixes or Features, whichever you decide.
