Wedge was built as a mobile-friendly forum system from the get-go, because that's mostly how I access my forums, so, well... I guess it made sense to do it, didn't it?
Only, I'm not too happy with Google's changes, because it's forced some websites I regularly visit to cook up a quick and dirty mobile version, some of which can't be gotten out of (even with the "desktop mode" option disabled, meaning it's doing browser sniffing, tsk!), and I really preferred their desktop versions. I just want to say, screw this!
Not a big fan of Elk's mobile themes, either, but that problem has been there for years. Mostly their persistent icons are not very intuitive. If they could replace them with a hamburger menu, like Wedge does, that'd be better. What? They're competitors? Who cares... SMF wins anyway. More exactly, conservatism wins. -_-
