Just wonder why flash is recommended, is this just for the media streaming, like youtube etc. or are other areas of wedge natively using flash?

I'm not a big fan of bundled setups like Xammp/WAMPServer, there are easy to follow tutorials all over the net (https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-install-linux-apache-mysql-php-lamp-stack-on-centos-6).

I feel you have more control over everything and better security once setup correctly with the stand alone systems.

Is this the case if you had a flag on the posts so in the query your searching for all posts for this topic AND that are 'active', this way there is no filtering of posts, your only returning what will be displayed!?

The performance downsides should only affect mods and admins as normal users will not see the soft deleted posts.

Amazon supply the basic OS so you have full control over what is put onto your instance, it's completely up to you as to what you install.

Thinking this could be a bug, I posted a few replies but on the parent board its is showing up with the last post as my post at 7.59am when I've posted in sub-boards of this parent at 8.51am since that post. Unless posts in the feature board don't show up in the last post display?!

But the maximum size only works for attachments/sig images etc. but wont work for embbed content like youtube videos and other steaming content, or will it?

Ye, I know about the recycle bin just putting it in context for my post.

Good to hear you were already thinking around the soft/hard delete and keeping soft deleted posts inline.

Can the embedding of media be auto-resized to fit in size of screen to stop horizontal scrolls? I hate horizontal scrollbars?

Edit: Just looking at the attachment below, this could also be auto resized to stop horizontal scrolls.
