Well, I was hoping that since you're Aeva Media is still very popular you would be willing to also write an Aeva Blog for those of us still stuck on using SMF. There are only two blog modifications and the better one is ADK Blog, although it's severely lacking in attaching images. My users have vociferously complained about using the bbcode attach image.
If you *do* decide to write your own Blog, make sure you have an attach function for images! All I'm really asking is that you copy over the "attach image" functionality from Aeva Media to your future blog function :)

Hey Wedge developers,
I don't know if any of you would be interested in this side project but I really think SMF deserves a better blog system. Would any of you be interested in developing like an Aeva Blog?
Right now I'm using ADK Blog, which is perfectly fine ... except it doesn't allow an upload image function, which is a major drawback. If you could cross-utilize the Aeva Media upload function of both individual files and batch upload to the Blog, that would be amazing.
I'd be happy to make a small donation, say $10 - $15, to help support development of this.

Features / Basic Questions
« on April 30th, 2012, 04:24 AM »
Hi,
It looks like you guys are doing a great thing with Wedge. I have a couple of basic, perhaps stupid questions:
1. If a person desires to use Wedge, would they first need to install SMF, and then install Wedge on top? Or would Wedge be a stand-alone forum software?
2. I read in the FAQ's that you all were going to include a lot of powerful features, like Calendar and Blog as part of the system. I agree with your analogy of MS Word. Would a frontpage (like "TinyPortal") be potentially included?
3. Lastly, how easy would it be for a third-party gallery system (like say, "Coppermine Photo Gallery") to create a bridge to you?

Doh. I thought OpenID was one of the neatest features of registering for SMF (at least it was to me, since I didn't really know about OpenID). Maybe logging in with Yahoo or Gmail or Facebook could be added .... that would definitely boost registration since it would make it super easy.
