Mind you, people are realising that Baidu is a problem even though it's a 'legitimate' site, it's a bit heavy on the accessing, so I'm not even sure I want to unblock it from the current exclusions in our Bad Behaviour implementation.
Google hammers my site more than Baidu, which seems... interesting.

Has this turned into a reminiscing thread :P

I remember constantly being surprised at the speed of his replies (and I know who the person mentioned in the first reply is Oo)

Maybe the buffer hooks? Those are called in a special way...

Nice ;) I like iit a lot.

How would it work if a plugin wants to define its own SSI? Would it be a hook as it is now (IIRC), would the autoloader step through the enabled plugins and sniff out the SSI files (expensive), or would there be some kind of listing in the database that plugins can add to for their SSI?

On another note. I'm looking into loadMemberData() and it reminds me of the discussions about queries and making them hookable.
How about turning the stuff into something like this...?
That looks familiar...

I thought we were going to use something like Dragooon's wesqlQuery structure to make those hookable?
But everything should be converted to arrays like that first.

Do we really need to support both .zip and .tar.gz? Gut instinct says no, just zip will cover the bulk of what's actually needed?
I use the gzipped tars because SMF randomly has problems with ZIPs.

This might not happen, but never say never, especially when it comes to the US government, eh?

Say the Feds pass their bill allowing ISPs to block certain websites. Without proxies, then, how would we be able to access them?

Just a thought.
