As for Live's ideas, I like them stylistically though they need polish to get rid of the jaggies.
Pixel-perfect design is a bit of a challenge with not the stillest hands. It's around the "petals", right? I could apply a small white glow to hide it.

Why did you have to take my 'joke' logo as your basis... (see filename)
Actually... I didn't. I started with wedgebox.

Re Mybb logo: this?

lol, what's it supposed to mean? That they target the Man on the Moon? What about us Earthlings?

What about reusing the DOM and just updating it?

I choose e: none of the above :P

Seriously, though, I'd go for a tasteful combination of 2 and 4. Maybe I'm a bit biased on this decision, because that's how I did it in a SMF mod once. I had a separate table to log all the members' likes and put a field in the messages table to aid with the number (so I could say, "Spoogs, Arantor, and 5,397 others like this").

updated visible copyright dates. Not brave enough to update every file in distribution so left it purely at the publicly visible dates
I know you're brave enough :)

Kick ass! (And yes, BB codes are a complex beast. I bet this holds true even in other platforms, like ipb, vb, etc.)

Is there really a priority flag in hooks..? I don't remember seeing that...
Kinda like in WordPress, where you can specify a hooked action or filter to be run before or after the other.

What if they need SFTP to upload a plugin from Wedge's admin area?

It uses the 'Consultants' profile. As to selecting which groups can write to it, I saw only 'Regular Members'.

It works, but The file size is larger (78049 KB) than the system allows. It's 162K.

I'll see if putting it in Aeva would help.

Alright, I can't.

would be nice as a build-in feature
I'd tend to say otherwise. It would only be of REAL use to plugin developers. The average admin wouldn't even care, so long as what they use works. Since the latter is in the vast majority, I'd feel most woad see this as bloat.

disable them?
Only stray hooks can. I deliberately disabled the remove checkbox for plugin hooks on the assumption that either all or none can go.

Does it/would it provide the list of functions currently attached to any hooks...?
I like that idea and I know just how to implement it.

visualise a good UI.
Do you think the one I came up with is good?

I looked for a topic of mine with relevance but found none. It seems I actually did not repost it here. Did you add the fix in SVN or your local copy? I didn't see it in 1246.
