Archived fixes / Quick edit bug: Quotes turn into backslash

When using quick edit, if the subject has a quotation mark, it turns into a backslash and everything after is truncated. Reproducible here.

Archived fixes / Re: Tooltips forr "like" buttons inconsistent
« on February 23rd, 2013, 01:20 AM »
Oh, it seemed to me the tooltip was supposed to be over the number, seemed logical to me.
TBH with you, I don't think anybody uses it, much less notice it's been removed. It's one of those features that nobody knows about unless told.

My own post shows the tooltip over the number of likes, but other people's posts have it over the actual link. Tested on this website.

The Pub / Re: Wedge templating for designers
« on February 3rd, 2013, 03:11 PM »
I feel the templlating engine is very good, more flexible than SMF's. In my plugins, I can insert my block virtually anywhere, above or below any known existing block. No complaints there!
Most importantly, I'm not limited to one sub template.
Also, I have to follow the default theme style and markup. Otherwise, if the theme could do its own thing entirely, I couldn't know if my plugin holds up. Equals support issues. I hate those.
To comment on the "stubbornness" apparently being perceived, there is an element of that, certainly. But it works for everyone here giving a crap about. I have more freedom here than with SMF's theme engine, and for that, I'm thankful.

Features: Forward thinking / Re: jQuery support

Why did they even introduce .on? What's wrong with .bind? I sincerely don't get it. It sounds stupid. You flick an electrical switch on and off, not a function! Bind/unbind make so much sense to me. I guess you can turn on an event, but you bind the function to the event. As in attach it.
