I like the three of them.
#3 is too portrait IMO, but I still like the design.
Merry Xmas btw

I voted for the second logo. Even though the first would make a better fav.ico the second is much more modern. Also, the colours seem to work better with the current Wedge skin. I see it as a wedge with a shadow which is far better than the petals I have voted for in the past.

« on December 1st, 2011, 02:52 PM »If anyone is reading this -- please tell us whether you think that it would be nice to be able to create contact lists (i.e. friends, family, work...) and whether you'd use the feature to fine-tune your topic/board privacy settings, or you just wouldn't bother yourself?
Unfortunately my lot are the laziest mofo's ever.
Heck, they don't even post!

« on November 28th, 2011, 04:55 PM »............to non developers it's a brain-ache.
This is, to me at least, the standard case. However, the system should be able to cope with all the various demands.........
Any member pisses me off and I drive round to their house and break their legs
Beats the SMF system

Plus, it's not like I'm preventing anyone from lobbying for their own fave logo!

:sob: Bet it feels a bit like -
Like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain, or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that's turning running rings around the moon
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find in the windmills of your mind!

« on November 27th, 2011, 09:40 PM »OK, tl:dr version.
SMF's setup is royally broken, it's beyond a nightmare to configure and it's so unintuitive, even meriting the description 'nuclear clusterfuck' though not from me.
My suggestion is that instead of basing on permissions, to base it on rules instead. So that the admin can configure that posts will be moderated if:
* user has made less than x posts
* user is posting in x board(s)
* user has been registered less than a given period of time
* post will be moderated if it contains x words
* post will be moderated if it contains x links
Any or all of the above should be usable, and should be able to be configured with conditions or exceptions, e.g. post will be moderated if the user has < 10 posts OR contains a link, EXCEPT in board x. For example.
The above appeals to me "user made less than x posts"
That is about all I need - mines a small group, and I meet em all, eventually.
Nice work Arantor
:)

.......All they do is sit behind a desk and wait for the phone to ring"
"yes, but what about the previous 30 years of working their balls off 24/7, sacrificing family time etc"

Now we know the dread Xmas holds for you; the orderly line of laptop bearing relations.
Haha, that bit was great.
We who understand nothing about coding, salute you.
