I always format windows if I get it pre-built or a laptop, and install everything myself. And also slap in a decent anti-virus to make sure I don't screw up.

I've been thinking about this over and over, and I've been wondering, if you're a qualified web developer with a proper degree than what is the normal salary one would get? If you got some actual references than that would be great.

I dropped this theme in Wedge, did a few nominal fixes and gave it a test spin and it seems to be working quite fine for the most part. I haven't actually ported it because SMF's version isn't finished.

AFAIK cPanel, Directadmin etc install PHP/MySQL etc on their own and don't rely on system packages, and they are generally updated within a week of release.

Oh, and the follow-up to my old PC's story... I just plugged in my system drive. It's dead. It's offering to format it... Boooo hoooo hooooo.
That gives you 3 sata ports(Presuming your DVD drive is SATA), which should be enough quite a while.

Go into any PC hardware store and ask for a 4pin molex connector to sata power connector, just make sure you got enough molex connectors in there(Here's how they look)

That's how I've powered 2 of my drives in my PC.
