Privacy is a real concern with all of these social sites and as you say it seems that it is becoming more and more transparent at every step.

Anyone had a look at Google plus. I have started using it and think it is much better than FB especially as you can arrange you friends into different groups and just post to any groups you want.

Seem that the normal user is more worried about the plugins working or not working more than the actual version of FF. I like to keep updated for test purposes but other than that as long as it works and does what it is supposed to do without any major defects it really does not matter much what version you are running

Other software / Re: SMF 2.0 final THIS MONTH?

Well the few forums I still look after running SMF will not be updated until such time that wedge is released. I am really done with SMF, just had enough all round with them

vBulletin is darn impressive so far, vBulletin 4's style manager is amazing, one can specify the colours and it'll automatically generate the associated gradients and give it a very nice look.

Well in my opinion AeMe is still one of the best gallery mods I have seen on any forum software to date. The thing with the VB owners it seems that they forked out so much cash getting the software they don't seem to mind paying for good mods and themes. Unlike the SMF members that only want free stuff and expect the best all round for the free stuff as well. I could see AeMe being a big seller if it were comparable with paid forum software. So if you ever do feel going that way I would give you full access to my VB test site do do any development you would want.

I have just spent the last few weeks working on my new vBulletin forum, well actually my old forum that I have converted. Overall I must say I am very impressed with the software and the way stuff comes together. No more playing search and destroy when you want to uninstall a mod and then have to go and weed out all that lost code. The support is also very good that I have seen so far.
The only downer about the whole setup is they do not really have a gallery to speak of. There are two mods but nothing along the lines of what we have here. So I did some asking about this and it would seem most forum owners are more than happy to pay for this one http://www.photopost.com/why-vbgallery.html so I suppose I will also be moving across to it in the next few month.
Here is my converted forum http://triumphtalk.com The import apps really worked great and I ended up only losing one thread and one attachment :eheh:
