This, we wants's it! We must's has its!

Love the shadows, that is not overboard, that is exactly the correct amount of board.

edit: Though I never was super keen on that particular theme's menubar, still think of it about the same, it's fine, but it's not super fantastic.

Are Wedge themes expected to provide their own .css to override the existing or edit the existing as needed?

This has probably been answered elsewhere, but there's a lot of posts here...

Looking nice Arantor.

I'm looking forward to both playing with the default themes and seeing what I can come up with given what you guys have been saying about how the theme system will work.

Are you finding the results easier or harder to come by in Wedge vs. SMF?

Do you really think admins are going to question the semantics of this?
I know this question is directed at Arantor, but yes! An emphatic yes!

Semantics and grammar matter and correct usage will make things much easier to understand quickly.

Agreed on the removing double negatives, UI controls really shouldn't force the person to decipher what they mean prior to using. They should be naturally intuitive and immediately evident.

As a forum Admin who doesn't spend all his time administrating forums smoothing out these sorts of things really will make a big difference in the resulting experience, particularly when compared to SMF.

Now, saying that and then actually going through all of the options to determine where double-negatives exist are two different things (mostly due to the sheer volume of options and screens and what not).

Looks great Arantor, and I know the inspiration, but won't say as it'd prolly be cheating.  ~_^

Is fun.

My current high score is a paltry 31 55.

Works great in Safari 5.1.1 on OSX 10.7.2

Plugins / Re: Crazy idea

Which is exactly how it "should" work!

I like the concept a lot, I'm just unsure how often I would use it since I don't tend to reference wikipedia for things (or anything else for that matter), but I can definitely see how it could be useful.

I like it, I think it'd be kinda useful, though I'm not sure I would use it much personally.

Plugins / Re: Plugin manager, phoning home and privacy
« on October 23rd, 2011, 08:32 PM »
The privacy concern really isn't that big an issue in my opinion, at least not for this. The idea that a server could track what plugins my server says it has doesn't really bother me at all, now if it grabbed other non-plugin related information I could see that being an issue.

The only other aspect I can possibly see causing harm is if a plugin causes a security compromise on a server and someone uses a logged list of servers which has that plugin in order to compromise all of the logged servers.

But from a pure privacy standpoint, I really don't see it being a practical issue for someone else to have a log of plugins, though I suppose that might depend on what exact plugins were on your server and if they themselves were someone how privacy compromises... (in which case I likely wouldn't have them installed in the first place...)

I like the look of the shaded "w" helvetica logos over the shaded "we" logos, however I like the concept behind the "we" logos better. Perhaps merge the two together? Take the bold helvetica font logo and shade the "we" and then play around with placement?

Before? That depends on a few items.

1. Do you plan to keep your blog updated with the latest and greatest version of Wedge as it becomes available?
2. Will any SEO doodads work on existing content if it's implemented after the initial change (as an update per the above)?
3. Do you plan to promote your blog?

I think you're just itching to get moved over to Wedge (and I can't fault you for that), if the above answers to 1 and 2 are yes and yes then I don't see any reason to postpone your move any longer than necessary. For #3, if you answer No, then I'm not sure how much value you would get by waiting, if yes, then it might be worthwhile, but I still doubt it.
