I'm a big fan of simple, straight forward, easy to use and self-explanatory UI's.
This fits that bill pretty darn well imo. Sure, there's a lot of boxes, but that's because it's controlling a lot of things, much rather have those all in one easy to find and use space than spread out all over the place.

That'd be like Larry Ellison (CEO of Oracle) asking Steve Ballmer (CEO of MicroSoft) to write an addon for Oracle that matches a function already in or in the next version of SQL Server.
