A lot of that is actually configuration related; there is (and has always been AFAIK) an option to set maximum thumbnail size but we haven't used it.
Partly because we've talked about moving attachments entirely into the gallery but not yet done so for a variety of exciting reasons.

Features / Re: Post Deletion

You know a recycle bin was a feature in SMF for *years* right?
We haven't removed it though the plan is to do so and essentially have 'soft deleted' posts still inline but not visible to regular users, while hard deleted posts would be gone entirely.

A lot of what happens with sm.org is a waste of everyone's time.

IE4 came out in 1998, IE6 in 2001, IE5 could easily have come anywhere in between and don't forget IE5.5 which added niceties like Print Preview.

Oh, some people care, some people care enough to make the points being made. Some people cared enough to try and do something about it. Then some people still care but realise that trying to apply logic to anything in certain forums is so far beyond a waste of time it isn't even funny any more.
Honestly, my afternoon's productivity improved when I spent it playing Assassin's Creed III than dealing with the above sorts of inanity.

If it's anything like their client, this would be a *bad* thing.

I have no idea how EC2 works. I suspect it works like most VPS installations.
I have my own VPS, it does not have cPanel, I edit files locally and upload them, or use nano through SSH.

Yes, it is their cloud hosting service. It is not a conventional host, so cPanel won't work the conventional way either.

Business first:Quote Go nuts.Quote This is where I disagree. But I could really use input from people who would actually be using this in this fashion to see what their take on it is.
My gut reaction is that I don't see how it is logical or reasonable to enforce two languages being downloaded or installed (even if they are a single download). But I don't know how many sites use both together and make both available together for users (outside of sm.org which has basically everything installed)
Certainly having them bundled together is an improvement and does remove the other logical obstacle - of users who install the subsidiary pack without the parent pack.Quote We can do that. I can certainly do it as part of the overhaul that's ongoing (just makes the impending commit bigger) >_< Unless you want to tackle it?
Yup, probably ahah...
Then, do you mind if I rewrite them the way I mentioned in the other, also unrelated[1] topic..?
And yes, it would make sense to ship FR with QC, because inevitably Québécois forums will receive visits from French visitors, and vice versa, so it's best to have both in there... (Well, French being crucial, Québécois being less important, but if I *had* access to such a package, I would definitely include it.)

but I'm thinking, maybe it's time to have a 'Boards' language file, where we could put all strings related to showing boards? Maybe also strings for MessageIndex, I don't know...

« on April 30th, 2013, 03:52 PM »Only recently has the doctore actually gotten some decent control over where he takes the ship.
The Doctor: You know, since we're talking with mouths, not really an opportunity that comes along very often, I just wanna say, you know, you have never been very reliable.
Idris: And you have?
The Doctor: You didn't always take me where I wanted to go.
Idris: No, but I always took you where you needed to go.
Clara is different, though. There have already been multiple remarks that the TARDIS doesn't like Clara (though not, apparently, as much as it disliked the immortal Captain Jack the first time they met)
