Could be worse, I've been hooked on playing with a 20 year old paint program that has features I've yet to see anywhere else (since I've been playing with pixel art for making canvas-based games)

She's inside the library computer, where the other 4022 were (and where Donna was), it's not a dream or parallel world. But it's not clear exactly how much was saved, and theoretically it's possible she could be resurrected since according to the 'rules' of the library and saving people there, there's little reason why her and the entire crew couldn't be resurrected since they all appear to be saved inside the computer. That said, we're supposed to understand that she is dead, but you know as well as I do that everybody lies!
As for whether she knows where she is, yes, she does. CAL told her, right at the end, as she emerges into the datacore world.

The admin area generally is a mess. Why do you think I wanted to torch it to the ground and start over?

No, CNAME means canonical name, it doesn't perform redirection. The whole point of CNAMEs is to provide multiple pathways to the same destination.
The rest of the code on your site might be doing that redirection, however, and I know SMF has internal handling to shunt users to the proper domain.
If you add a 301, you should indeed restore the A record and deal with the redirection on the server yourself, it's the only way to be sure.

« on January 8th, 2012, 01:52 PM »Ahaha!
Anyway I'm ditching many rewritcond I had because there are other ways to achive some things. For example I had a rewrite rule that redirected all www hits to the non-www url. I just left the domain.com A record, removed the www one and replaced it with a CNAME (from www to the "pure" @ domain). I think it's more clean.
Are you a smoker, Pete?
It's more the fact that I understand the psychology, it's pretty similar to when I gave up alcohol for the most part some years ago (I still have the odd drink, but it's once every few months, and even then, it's invariably just the one, two for really special occasions)

I've done my fair share of fighting with RewriteRules in the past, I'm trying to give it up, it's like smoking: you kind of enjoy it even though you know it's bad for you.

No, not a charset problem. Apache is doing what it's supposed to be doing, rewriting %3b characters as per the HTTP specification.
Try:
Code: [Select]
Try:
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://domain.com/$1 [NE,R=301,L]5138

Why not then attach:
Code: [Select]
That would prevent it being selectable in a way that just munging the events won't.
The iframe suggestion was out of left field, and I didn't expect it to be taken seriously :P
The only dynamic select box I can think of is the jumpto, I can't think of a selectbox that's populated dynamically anywhere else in the source.
-webkit-user-select: none;
-khtml-user-select: none;
-moz-user-select: none;
-ms-user-select: none;
-o-user-select: none;
user-select: none;That would prevent it being selectable in a way that just munging the events won't.

If you click and drag and go outside the element, deselect it.
Half the battle is simply because a selectbox normally operates outside the classical rendering (all its rendering is *totally* self contained and not accessible to the JS), I don't suppose it'd be any better operating as an iframe-type shim, would it?

Re spoiler... no he didn't. They *both* lied. What he told her was not his real name. TWoRS actually shows you what he said.Quote Yes, that's the case - it's the first time he meets her, and the last time she sees him. But the point where he tells her his name, the one time he could - we haven't seen that yet. We haven't seen their first meeting (from her POV) at the towers of Darillium, where he gives her his screwdriver.Quote Because she didn't go back to the past. Her timeline is continuous - forwards. After she travels to the 51st Century and becomes a doctor, she goes to Stormcage for the 'murder' of the Doctor. She eventually receives a pardon, because by the time of FotD, she's no longer working 'to earn a pardon', she's essentially free, but doing this job as a job. From her timeline POV, Season 6 (except the epilogue of TWoRS) happens first (in the correct order, once we get past TIA and DotM), then the events in series 5 (Pandorica first, then the Time of Angels), then FotD.
The point where he shows up at the towers of Darillium, on her 'doorstep, with a new suit, and knew everything about me', that's when she first meets him from her POV, and that hasn't happened yet. (From the Doctor's POV, it must happen at any point from here on in, and from our POV, it'll be the last time we see her.)
I've come to the conclusion that River died in the Forest of the Dead...her future version in the past.
I'm trying to understand why she came back to the past just to save The Doctor in the end because she knew he would die and cease to exist in the future somehow.

Maybe WP includes the check for CloudFlare by default, I don't know. Don't really care either, to be honest. WP is not my favourite piece of software.

The Pub / Re: Logo Madness

Voted :) I like the 3D effect and I like the boxed look around the 'level up your forum'. I'm a sucker for well done 3D effects.
The logo is important, sure, but it can be figured out later if need be, it's not like there's a mass of marketing machinery attached to it at this point. But I'd like something that we both like and that we'll be able to at least 'put up with' for a while.Quote The conversation where I was trying to explain, badly, some of the things that will be encountered in trying to write a plugin system... it didn't end well. Public conversation, can't be arsed to find it. But suffice to say I felt better for burning the bridge.
Then I cut my ties with DZ too, this thread. Seems that subconsciously I was helping myself figure out what to cut back on in 2012... :whistle:

I believe this is one of the reasons why Pete went AWOL these days (apart from RL issues.)

At least, we certainly need to determine how we'll keep up with our 2011 rhythm... It's probably impossible to do that with just passion, so we need to consider ways to... keep ourselves motivated to work on Wedge

Then v=spf1 all won't help you, because it'll just pass everything through as accepted, as I understood the Wikipedia entry on SPF records.
