The Pub / Re: Quick moderation
« on March 21st, 2012, 02:44 PM »I just realized that the bug I was complaining about in Quick Reply was probably triggered by the fact that I'd just changed the default value for newest PMs... It seems that it reset *all* of the items to "No"!
As for Googlebot, then the problem would be fixed, right? I'll try to disable the thing.
Just got 4 pages worth of pages from a bad bot called ZoomInfo (nextgensearchbot or something)
So, to recap, open_mod_reports will require an empty() check on it before use because the way BB is set up, that won't be set up. Or, in the BB execution path in Security.php, set it to 0 there. (Come to think of it, $board and $board_info should be minimally initialised in that same branch, which should prevent the no_board issue, though they'll still trip BB's rules anyway. All that needs to be done is setting up $board and $board_info like they are in Load.php's loadBoard(), as if $_GET['board'], $_GET['topic'] and $_GET['action'] are all empty.)

Features / Re: Brave new world
« on March 21st, 2012, 02:39 PM »So I went to the old Wedge.org site, and it's set to 1 by default too...
I'm starting to wonder if it's an importer bug...?!
In the same area -- the default option for "Show quick reply" is "off" in the admin area -- even though when I installed Wedge, it changed my current setting of "On, retracted (folded?)" to "On, shown"...

Plugins / Re: Improved attachments upload

I don't really have a problem with this being core, if someone wants to rewrite it (because I don't), but it doesn't bother me if we don't either, as I'm happy enough with the current attachments stuff, current bug with it notwithstanding.[1]
| 1. | It sometimes pushes things in reverse order. Eh, I'd deal with it in due course. |

I did notice that but I have no idea why that should be. banPermissions() deals with that.
*penny drops*
Googlebot you say? That makes sense. is_not_banned() won't be called when BB is tripped, because it's just dealt with before even getting that far. empty() is sadly the best way here because for BB trips, there's no point in setting stuff like the mod cache up.

Well, when you said it, I just went to Google for the name.

Interesting choice, very interesting. Will be curious to see where they take her off to.
There is something about having relative unknowns in the show, as opposed to returning actors (Karen Gillan did actually turn up in a season 4 episode but you didn't really notice it, for example)
I don't see it as a 'meh', I see it as giving someone the chance to shine who might not otherwise have done so - but will reserve judgement until later in the year.

Same colour palette as the United Kingdom flag ;) But no, that wasn't the thing.
Tell you what, though, it's only an issue on the active tab, on an inactive tab the white background doesn't reinforce that look at all ;)

Won't happen, New Who adds a definite 'slight love interest' angle that Old Who never did. You never really saw any of Old Who's Doctor incarnations actively referring to his companions as 'best friends', did you?

Bug reports / Re: BBCode trimming issues?
« on March 21st, 2012, 11:41 AM »
The whole thing's a mess generally and right now I have enough going on without unpicking the hundreds of lines of code involved, especially knowing full well there's a problem with the preparser right now.
So I'll look at it but not until after I've moved out and not until after I've had time to readjust and set everything up on my new dev environment (due to reasons of space, I'll be downsizing everything to a laptop immediately after moving) so that my existing PC/Mac are solely around for performance testing and thus do not need to be set up all the time.
Regarding the admin folder, the only thing I have is a template change where I tried out my admin-front-page-helpful-links thing but there's been suggestions about improving it and I haven't figured out how I want to do those so I never committed it.
Also, if we're moving files like that, we almost might as well break some of the templates up a touch since there's templates bundled together perhaps unnecessarily, e.g. Admin.template.php could be separate files for the different things it does?

Hmm, interesting.
The parser is a bit of a mess in some ways and possibly needs refactoring anyway...

She's certainly been rumoured to be involved, and her last Who outing was a Moffat episode... and she's also mentioned on Twitter that she might be involved...

It reminds me of Aquafresh toothpaste. It's only because I've had in the tab thingy as much as it has been that it reminded me of it.
It doesn't bother me particularly, it bothered me more that it reminded me of something but I couldn't remember what it was it reminded me of.

Correct. The code does not at any point generate APNGs so if it did generate an APNG something is very fundamentally wrong...
And I'd be even more surprised if it didn't work in Chrome seeing as that's where I wrote and tested it...
