Great start !

Just saw this on smf site, really great job so far. Even for something still in development....it looks awesome. Some bits here and there don't immediately load in Firefox, but after a hard refresh or 2 it works.
Watching this project with hope :)

Never had any problems with Firefox, in fact Opera is my main testing platform and Firefox my second (I always have a copy of it running in the background -- especially since they implemented lazy loading of tabs, which is nice for a heavy user like me.)

I'm going crazy after all the work that's left to do just to release a private alpha... And I swear, I'm not adding any new features for now, nor am I planning to! My priority really is to fix the current outstanding bugs and be done with it... :-(

I guess if developing software can be compared with cooking then adding new features is like baking bread or cakes, whereas fixing bugs is more like cleaning the oven. You can put it off and put it off but if you want a dinner party you want the kitchen to be spotless before the guests arrive!

So when I say "why not release it with a list of known bugs because after all it's only a private release" I know you won't want people to see it with that pile of dirty dishes in the corner. However, if it really is getting you down then maybe the satisfaction of releasing something will provide a bit of sunshine?

Either way: "really great job so far" +1

“I will stand on my ground as an atheist until your god shows up...If my irreligious bothers you much, and if you think everything I do is heresy to your god I don't care. Heresy is for those who believe, I don't. So, it isn't heresy at all!

All modern browsers are fairly decent in my opinion.

Opera is falling somewhat behind lately though, which is troubling. Firefox is a LOT better than it was a year ago.

Cleaning the oven? That's writing docs for the software... ;)
Fixing bugs is simply like fixing some rice that you undercooked by adding a precise amount of hot water to it, praying that it'll start heating the rice again, and praying that nobody will notice it wasn't right from the start.
