Yep!  That was the only thing that was on my mind in terms of the new skins system, how to edit efficiently.  You got my vote for skins!

Got a question: Let's say I want to edit the header and move items around.  With skins, will the header be placed in a template function for me to override like a plugin?

Since my reply thought was too big for the thoughts system I figured it would be worth it to start a topic on the question Nao addressed..

"Now that I think about it, let me clarify.  I am the only moderator/administrator on my forum, I run the whole show.  My forum covers both fanart and fanfiction of the "Predator" Yautja species (the 1987 movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger) but I don't write fanfiction at all, so me being an official member in the group kind of leads to "false advertising"... yes, sometimes people who mod a group like the context of the group but in my case I would be modding every group that does not fall within my prevue."

Again, just my two cents.

Tested this in Firefox and it's the same as in the screenshot.

Must be a bug in FF 22, because I tested in FF 24 + Windows 7, and it's working just fine... (?)
It was actually 21, my mistake.  My firefox installation updated to 22 just now; I tested it and saw that the sidebar did show up properly.

Just now I tried to edit this post inline but got a "forbidden" error in red.  I decided to go through the more "time consuming" way and edit it with the edit page, but when I pressed post, I got the following errors:
Quote
Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in Sources/Notifications.php on line 38 (this was above the layout on the page, I also truncated the local path for security)

------

An Error Has Occurred!
Database error, given array of integer values is empty. (member)

Sorry about that, Firefox 22 and Windows 8.

Hmmn, don't know what I am doing wrong.  I downsize my browser viewport to test responsiveness, click the sidebar toggle icon in the upper right and the page stretches without horizontal scrollbars.  I can't see the sidebar anywhere.  Clicking on the webpage proper returns everything back to normal.

This is one of those really huge debates that won't go away. Themes modify every page by definition, thus having the credit there is totally applicable. But plugins don't generally modify every page, in which case footer changes are bordering on inappropriate. It's almost entirely then about promotion and making money (like vbgamer and Nibogo are so fond of)
I agree, the credits page is sufficient.  The credits page can be long without tackiness.  Putting it in the footer of every page will add on extra bytes and might be extra cruft to a theme in general.  In fact, I prefer the credits page because it's well presented, and people are more apt to click and find out more about a plugin. </2 cents>

It's in French but it basically explains my situation: I was born about an hour before we 'officially' switched to the Aries sign, which makes me a Pisces. However, I only discovered that right before I wrote the blog post. Earlier, I was 'just' an Aries because I'm from the usual Aries date. I didn't know you had to take the *hour* into account when calculating your sign. Which usually isn't a problem except of course if you happen to be born on a transition day... Well, I'm from the first day of the zodiacal calendar, if you may say.

So, I lived all my life as an Aries, and I'm a 100% Aries, and none of my personality is even remotely close to that of a Pisces. I've known several Pisces and never got along well with them. (Believe me, I've lived with one for over 5 years...)
So yeah, ever since that day, I have absolutely no belief in zodiacal signs. My belief is rather that we are *conditioned* to see what our 'sign' is about, and then conform to it, or at least its main aspects.
Ho boy; I'm a Pieces   My first real boyfriend was an Aries, and we never got along.  I was in my daydream world and he was always using that to get what he wanted from me.  Fire signs and Water signs obviously don't mix.

But I at least hope I can break the "curse" and somehow handle the heat. :giggle:

EDIT:  Nao, you might be on the "cusp" of both signs, meaning you have some traits of both.  If you are born just one hour before it chimed to the Picean date, then yeah you're definitely on the cusp.

Coming from someone who studies Astrology for fun: Nao, if you were a Virgo I wouldn't be surprised.

Thank you for your input. :thanks:  I will try my best to have a more populated voice in the forums. :)

Question from the back, who's Aranator? ;)

The great news is: you can help. Read the discussions, particularly about features and have your say :)
Hehe, I had a brainfart there for a second.

Anyway, some things I want to say feels like I'm in a room full of professionals and I'm the wee advanced beginner in the back.  It sounds like a trivial personal problem but that's how I feel.
