Off-topic / Re: Doctor Who
« le 26 Novembre 2013 à 01:55 »
Season 1 (from the 2005 series) already is pure comedy. Everything after the boring love movie from '96 is. (Except the very few slightly serious episodes, like "Blink".)

Dalek: I will talk to the Doctor.
The Doctor: Oh, will you? That's nice. Hello!
:D

(Basically, I just LOL'd quite loudly at "The Day of the Doctor". "Got a name?" "Yes." "Good, I've always wanted to meet someone called Yes." - Heh heh.)

I'm positive that "DW" is meant to be serious science-fiction  but...

Now, while watching it: I surely missed David, obviously. Too bad Christopher's missing though.

Hmm. I missed it (was on a party yesterday), but it seems I should watch it now. I could avoid all spoilers (except the previous mini-episode) until today.

(Good thing this is on a new page...)

Isn't the whole thread a bit off-topic?

What is a Wedge?
Wedge
Neat, but why should we spend energy into this?

Vielleicht solltest du erst mal anfangen mit Deutsch.

Good morning, Nao!

forumsearch0r never made it clear he wanted to help develop Wedge; while he did say he was capable, he also never requested an alpha copy, or SVN read access, or Git read access (although in this case, I'm not even sure the change to a Git server was even mentioned in the public area. Ahum.)
The Wedge website says there are currently no requirements for additional team members, so I accept and don't bother you with my mighty skills (which aren't perfect anyway). Also, my spare time is rather limited until December or so. :-/

FS has only made it clear that he preferred Emacs, but didn't give examples of things it can't do that others can't.
Well, I tried. You might want to spend some time with it to "get" it though. :)
But I don't think the software I use is the software everyone should use.

Funny... I never once had been able to find you at SMF site.
I'm not registered there.

However, it does seem that you do not have those abilities.
"Seem". Right. Now what?
Citation de BurkeKnight le 28 Octobre 2013 à 00:22
You, it seems to me, as well as several others that I talk with, are nothing but a troll.
Maybe this whole discussion would be much easier to handle if you'd stop wrapping questions in accusations.
Citation de BurkeKnight le 28 Octobre 2013 à 00:22
I find it odd that you have gone to just about every fork of SMF
"Every fork"? Oh, yes. I'm registered here because I like how Wedge is done, then on ElkArte after it has been advertised here just to find and report a bug there. That makes two, right?
Citation de BurkeKnight le 28 Octobre 2013 à 00:22
What is you real interest in Wedge and ElkArte?
Which part of my nickname needs further explanations? I guess I announced it on some general "forum searcher board" under this nickname before I found Wedge: I'm planning a German community with a focus on one topic, currently narrowing down the choice of board systems to use as the base.

What do you plan on doing?

Making a fork and using things from both to make a combo?
I could already fork ElkArte, but why should I?
Citation de BurkeKnight le 28 Octobre 2013 à 00:22
If so great at what you do, why not ask to do some coding for them?
Just because I technically know how to build a hammer, why shouldn't I buy one instead when I need to put a nail into my wall?

I can perfectly live with whatever you with your modding team leadership think I am. In fact, your POV is not relevant for my job. Anyway, I love how comments like "I highly doubt your claims of grandeur in coding" are just plain stupid and ignorant, given that you haven't read one single line of PHP code of mine yet.

Someone's arrogant here, eh?

So "BS" is a part of the commonly accepted language here? Well then, good to know that I don't necessarily have to be a friendly pal. I'll come back to that when it's appropriate. - No, I don't work as a web designer. My current job consists of creating the backend for web designs though.
