Deleting of posts by checkbox fails. If you check one post, Remove selected (1) appears in the bar under this post. But if you click "OK" deleting fails. Deleting complete threads from moderation panel is working fine.

With over half a million unique users this is an very small percentage of user with IE6/7.
Your Idea of creating an extra skin for those users sounds good, but when it comes to layout questions and deploying layouts for all users this would be very complicated. You always have to touch two themes..

OK, to be honest i can't wait to test wedge :whistle:
Using a heavy tweaked version of SMF since 2006 with about 2.6 Mio posts at this time.
I'm planning to use wedge for testing purposes as an live forum with my moderators only before changing from smf to wedge (at least as importers and a solution for our growing relocated image-folders are available .). URL will be closed to public, but if you want you can get access to it.
So we're about 10 people that will test wedge in all manners. Some hours a day.
Gallery and Blogs are one of the most interesting things for us (banning features when available).
I will look into performance of database and try to setup some regex for webserver that aren't supporting .htaccess.
We use Cherokee as Webserver and a Percona Server-Cluster as DB.

Perhaps we should add an extra field in the permissons table (e.g. post_url).
Then do a check for allowed membergrous and make sure that only TLD's are filtered.
Parse BBCode and filter such TLD's with regex.
Finally show a message to this poster that he has no rights to post links.

If it comes to post moderation there will be a much better way:
For user under 5 posts it is prohibitet to post links in his post.
If so, the posting will be needed to moderate.
Also edit of postings. Forbidden by default for the first 5 posts.
Don't know how difficult it is to implement. But IMHO this will prevent 90% of spam.
