A pretty cool way to test for mobile is with the Opera Mobile Emulator. You can test for many different screen sizes and input devices:

For example, Nokia N9:

Features / Re: Moving topics, you can now send a PM
« on April 26th, 2012, 12:00 AM »
I like it a lot. And there's a ton of things that could and perhaps should receive notifications. I must admit to being a fan of how Facebook does this. I'd like to have notifications when people like my posts, and when they quote them. This should not be PMs though, I'd prefer some kind of "globe" like the one in Facebook. :)

Then again, I can easily do without it.

Oooh. So that's what it is for. Now I get it.

This reminds me, I also seem to get an error about rev.txt, but creating an empty rev.txt fixes this. I'm not sure if this is intended behavior, but it's better to tell early and often than not at all, or? :)

I've only used the MediaWiki export function. It works like one would hope it would.

phpMyAdmin has its own problems, at least when dealing with larger databases. (I've had so much stuff dissapear. :\) There's also the post_max_size and upload_max_filesize limits on most servers.

The only tool I've never had a problem with is mysqldump and "mysql < database.sql". Unfortunately, you can't really expect less experienced webmasters to use them.

In the end I think the export tool of Wordpress, MediaWiki and the like might be the "lest shitty" option to do this without fiddling with mysqldump. That said, I don't really have the need for such facilities.

Yeah. It's just that I'm trying to be a more optimistic person lately. I'm always the guy who goes "that'll never do", so for once I'll be the guy that goes "good luck" instead. :P

I hope they succeed. Competition hooah~

I'll still be using Wedge of course. Makes no sense to pour my time into one board type then switch to another one.

I think this could be in core. Seems like it'd be a fairly unique thing to have.

I have serious problems making regexes (see: any .htaccess I ever created). I would assume this goes for 99% of all admins too, or maybe I'm just daft. Regexes scare me, anyway.

I don't see any issue with saying no to supporting SMF. Apart from "conversion" to Wedge kind-of-questions, that is.

My only problem would be that to earn back 10 dollars I'd have to go at least 6 months. For me it's better to just... Pay it all out of my pocket. :)
I'm still thinking $5 to $10, really depends how much complexity I give it. But at the same time, it's a one off fee and you can use it on as many sites as you want.
Oh don't get me wrong, I think 5-10 quid is quite reasonable for such a thing. If anything, it is my situation that is different from the norm. :)

I don't really care. I don't use ads on my pages. I feel they deteriorate the quality feeling of the site. Though I can understand why some people might want them.
AD management is a 'must have' I need it on all of my forums to cover hosting expenses..

Good luck. It does make sense to charge for an advertisement system. :-)
