Oh, I'm not saying you shouldn't or that it wouldn't be well earned. Like I said, I've bought a few mods for my site and it's something I'm happy to do if I think the mod is worth it. But it'll always be something I groan about too, lol. :P
All said and done, definitely make sure the system gets a SubAccount mod, whether its free or part of the package or paid for or what have you. It would more than definitely be worth the effort it takes.

I would definitely advise the inclusion of a sub account option. SMF is becoming more common as a platform for PBP RPG, and the use of the sub account mod is a pretty major part of that, I think.
On a personal level, I wouldn't go anywhere near a forum system without sub accounts waiting for me when I got there, as an RPer and as an Admin.
I would have said free would be the best way to go with it, because SMF's still works and Jcink has their version too. That said, I don't think a small fee would be awful, just annoying lol. I will buy, and have bought, mods and stuff, but it's not something I like doing and I'd be more inclined toward a free option than a paying, in most cases.
Just some more input :)
