I'm trying to convince this stupid kid over at Google+ that it's not right to quote without giving source.
I'm a quote freak, so I always give where credit is due. I'm pretty sure I've done the same over at iApple Cafe as resources.
http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum44/1010.htm
Replace "website" with "Google+/Facebook/Twitter" so the stupid kid can understand.
1. Can I copy the whole article and just paste it to my Google+/Facebook/Twitter?
NO. not without permission from the author.
2. Can I copy the whole article and just paste it to my Google+/Facebook/Twitter, as long as i mention where i got it from?
NO. not without permission from the author.
3. Can I only copy quotes from the article, and just paste it to my Google+/Facebook/Twitter?
Yes, you may use a small extract, but you MUST quote the source. For more information see: http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-fairuse.html
4. Can I only copy quotes from the article, and paste it to my Google+/Facebook/Twitter, when i mention where i got the article from?
it depends, see 3.
5. Is it allowed to quote the whole news and add 1 line of Your own?
NO. Not without permission from the author.

Tomorrow marks the day we will never forget. It been a decade since the September 11th attacks where World Trade Centre once stood. The world cries in sorrow. So much that no words can describe it and even I can't fully fathom it.

Off-topic / The Evolution & Death of Social Subscription
« on August 30th, 2011, 09:31 PM »
I don't know but subscribing to email newsletter really floor my email and it's a email for a reason and it have its purpose. I use email to keep in contact with people, business and personal alike for conversations and not everyone uses social network like FB, Twitter, RSS.
Subscribing to any sites to keep up with the lasest news really gets to me and thereof spams and I see myself using Twitter and RSS. That said both Twitter and RSS does essential the same thing but different in many ways. I can for example create a subscription folder focused on SMF related sites, the other Apple related via RSS. Twitter on the other hand...well...tweet news, updates, provide support you name it. A while back I thought RSS was dead when Twitter came out but I was wrong.
I believe that email is not dead, it had its use but subscribing them via email is annoying as hell. I love to keep my email clean and minimalist.
What are you thoughts on this?

Off-topic / Facebook bug rant
« on March 6th, 2011, 02:59 PM »
I have 3 accounts...one for feeds, one personal for friends only. So I created a new account, deleting my old personal one because I can't be bothered to delete all my old wall posts...for the last 2 years and because of privacy concerns:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thelookout/20110301/ts_yblog_thelookout/facebook-will-soon-share-users-phone-numbers-and-addresses-with-3rd-parties
Thurs creating a new account with no informations there, privacy is set to Only Me.
There was one problem...I have a application with fans so I transfer to my new account before I can delete my old one because it's associated to it.
When I am ready to delete my old personal account--my new one's notifications.php and touch.mobile.com stopped working. It won't load my notifications. I can't access touch.mobile.com
I decided to deactivated my old one again and suddenly my new one works. :/
So it took me 3 days to search anyone with a similar issue.
And I found this... http://forum.developers.facebook.net/viewtopic.php?id=91388
I don't think it's the application...it's the mobile number you have associated within your account. I gave my 3 accounts that number because it's a requirement to verify for the application.
I just wanted to delete my old one but I can't otherwise the notifications.php will be broken. :/
