I actually like #1 and #2 - I voted for #2, just because I could!

I haven't watched it yet, but my son tweeted this:

It could be the wine talking, but I think that was the best episode of anything I've ever seen ever.... #doctorwho
So I'm really looking forward to it!

Many congrats to both of you, I can almost feel the passion you both emit!

Very well done, awesome work.

My new domain is just sitting there waiting for Wedge, complete with statement saying so and linking back to here.

And if Nao can be Voldefork, I can definitely be Ara Potter.
...and therefore I can be Ron Wedgely  :eheh:

Lol  :eheh:

Back on topic, I've just noticed that JBlaze is going to fork SMF as well.

There is also a greater irony in the fact that I've spent a good deal of my free time in the last week playing Lego Harry Potter, and interestingly getting about as frustrated by it.
Couldn't you have just waved a 'WedgeWand' at the Lego?

Shit! Please someone, tell me I'm not the eldest here at 55.5!  :o :sob:
I believe K@ and Road Rash at least beat you on that count ;)
Great! I'm so pleased about that, now, where are my slippers....... :eheh:

Yikes!  You were calling international?  That must have cost a mint!
It did yes, but at the time I was working for an international stockbroking company with offices all over the US/Far East and, with no effective call logging around, my calls were 'lost' amongst all the rest of the calls.

So. Anyone interested in knowing the names of the cowards who censored the AeMe page and won't even admit it?
I'd be very interested to know, I could guess at 3 names in particular.

Does this mean you now actually know who did it??

....... as I was completely addicted to BBSing for over a decade.
Me too!

I remember as if it was yesterday, waiting, waiting so very long, for stuff to download using my 'state-of-the-art' 1200/75[1] modem. I eventually persuaded the company I worked for at the time to buy me the just released Dowty Quattro V22 bis 2400 modem[2] for 'research' purposes!

My favourite BBS back then was called 'The Midnight Express BBS' out of CA, or AZ maybe??
That was what got me hooked. I, along with my boss, started our own called 'The Index Linked BBS' (FIDONet 2:254/94), in 1986/7 running Wildcat BBS software by Mustang.

Happy days!  :eheh:

I'm guessing that I am a similar age to tfs. When I was born, there were no Motorways in the UK, not even a road of Motorway standard such as the 'Preston by-pass'. (I wonder how many of you will now Google that!  :niark: )
 1. for the youngsters, that's 1200bps download and 75bps upload! Compare that to today's speeds eh!
 2. £700, or $1400 at the time!

I love this thread - even if most of it sounds like 'Swahili' to me!

Great minds at work, thinking aloud. You two rock!
