From the thread, it looks like a serious offer from the admin. Bitcoin is an alternative electronic currency[1]. The admin favor an SMF based fork/site/customization than other solution because he/she already familiar with SMF.

I'm sure this is why it's a plugin, it's optional.YMMV

WIll the shortlink can be linked to specific post? maybe something like example.com/go/thash#postnumber

These feeds linked to index+session, not topic+session I'm afraid.

I don't know if this helped or not, but from date on my reader. This started from April 12. Before that it seemed normal.

Oh okay, I just report what I think odd. :) that's why I said earlier I don't think it's a bug yet, because I know wedge is still work in progress[1]

Thanks.

I just got another in my reader :).

The title in feed is not pointing to thread url, but to wedge homepage.

At first I thought that is the intended behaviour so the subscriber know if any new reply have been made.(the frequency and date)

I do not consider this is a bug yet, but today my Google Reader got bombarded from Wedge Development Blog. As if anything new got posted in Development Blog repeatedly[1].

On the other hand,I want to ask is the date posted in Development Blog correspond to latest reply date not the date of the thread posted?

Thanks.

What do you mean 'more library like this'? I just picked this up from the blog I linked. He has a bunch of quirky ideas but not quite so much in the way of actually shared code.
He shared not? What I mean, are there anything like this beside the standard(gravatar, identicon, monsterid). I liked the simple avatar.

IMHO though, most bots I have seen get through most security lately are not bots but people. They create a account and get it unlocked for the bots to use it later. You can captcha the post maybe, allot of junk though just to keep a few bots out.
Captcha protects from automation/bot(It can hit your forum thousands per day), if anything got through then the forum's staff should be able to take action. The reason they want an account is to post link, so I usually just limited that in forum permission. Stuff like website link on profile(min 10 post), link on post/signature(min 20 post) and so on. I think the forum's staff would be able differentiate between regular user and would be spammer. :)

In one of the forum that I used to be admin, I used http://https://www.keycaptcha.com/. It pretty good to weed the bot.[1] Recaptcha just doesn't cut it, it just like a unlocked door. The door is there but you can move the handle and it will opened.[2]

I don't mind paying for important plugin :) about shoutbox, I think it will be similar to thoughts on wedge homepage? You can use it to chat or it is not the intended function?
