Not sure is this is caused by migrating a site or by the fact that SMF uses star.gif and Wedge uses rank.gif.  One more thing, even though I fixed this by using the correct gif files from the assets folder, the neither the star or the badges show up for the users.

I'm guessing this is an importer problem.... Right?

TE, what do you reckon? Indeed Wedge changed star.gif into rank.gif so that it's semantically closer to the truth.

Just want to point out that IIRC the importer code accounts for star/rank changes, and I haven't had the problem myself when importing stuff. (?)

I just downloaded and ran the importer and get the same as txcas with post-count based and regular groups.

I haven't run it as there is an issue with the input screen. When I put in my "Path to SMF2" is highlighted red even though it is the (Chrome browser saved) value I've always entered.

Edit:
Scrap that - I refreshed the page and it's OK. I tried to recreate but cannot. My internet connection has been patchy the past couple of days so perhaps the page could not 'see' the SMF installation because it could not see the internet at all.

Anyway it is running now.

As for the error. It's in the smiley code. Any problems with the assets/smileys folder permissions..?

Also I dunno why it gives you an error when there is an error suppressor in that line of code.

Will look at permissions later. Maybe the internet connection cut out for a few seconds at that point?

As for the icons, the Admin / Moderator icons are now there but the post based ones are not. These are custom images - are they in the importer's scope?

Not that I know of. You'd have to ask @TE if he can add support for importing badges & rank images, I suppose.
Other than that... Just copy the files manually, eh! ;)
