Title: How ported from SMF+Aeva+TP?

Hi Nao! I have a site on SMF with Aeva Media and TinyPortal (with many articles).
In your command I see also developers TinyPortal. Whether the converter for transition on Wedge for this sheaf will be created what that?

Where? Show me a TP dev here with orange badge.

In response to your general question, SMF + Aeva data can be imported into  Wedge. However, portal data will not.

AeMe stuff will be imported. Not for now though, iirc.
No plans to import TP data.
Bloc is no longer involved with SMF or Wedgre btw.

I don't think it does either but it does depend a lot on how we migrate attachments to AeMe.

There's no reason preventing portal mods themselves from doing it. In any case, it does depend a lot on what's in TinyPortal worth porting. The gallery feature could be migrated to AeMe, but that's about it for now, there's nowhere to migrate pages to nor is there any way on Earth we can make sidebar stuff work.

Assuming they even come here and develop ports of their mods. I have a strong feeling none of  them will.

I was quite careful in my wording. I honestly do not care whether any of the established SMF portal mods decide to port over here or not, because it isn't my problem. They either will or they won't.

On the presumption that they don't (because it would require tearing each of them apart from scratch to work over here), I'd rather see a fresh portal emerge designed for Wedge in the first place rather than inheriting old mentality.

TP is also very large and quite slow, so blocks might be wonderful but there's quite a price to pay for it.

The file archive could probably be imported into Aeva (which is inbuilt into Wedge), the comments... comments to what?

As for articles, there isn't any facility directly in Wedge for it but it could be done with a plugin of some kind (that can do importing)

in principle in articles it is not a lot of comments, and they could be offered.  but a large number of useful and interesting articles precisely would be to be lost no. And the case with transfer of file archive in AeMe would be very nice

Yeah, I get that the content would be important to keep, I just gotta figure out a good way of doing it cleanly so that you can import content like that seamlessly from SMF into Wedge.

There is an import tool already but it's primarily geared for importing other forums into Wedge. I wonder how easy it will be to reuse that.

Many thanks for the interest shown to my question. I with impatience wait for Wedge exit as, I like dynamics of its development, support and AeMe.

Importing SMF mods into Wedge is quite easy, but there needs to be an equivalent feature in Wedge  ;)

I'll continue it once Wedge achieves a sort of milestone, i.e. when the chances of a major change happening are fairly low for the current version.

Yup, I'm also looking forward to seeing it :)

That's the curse of having active development, is that things can and will change, and it can be pretty frustrating to try and keep up with that.
