I just had Jack Daniels and Ginger, and bloody hell that blew my mind off quiet well. That leave me one question in my head and that is.....
What upppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp?
-
The only thing up right now is my core temperature after imbibing a cup of my specially brewed "builder's strength" tea, strong enough it can practically hold the spoon up by itself.
-
What? This is a pub for christ sake!

The last time I went into a pub, I mostly drank tea. Incidentally, so did the vicar, though no-one thought to ask him if he wanted, "More tea, vicar?"
Mind you, I spent a lot of time eating at the buffet and talking to people I hadn't ever seen before or hadn't seen in over a decade that had all descended and were also partaking of the buffet that I'd helped pay for.
Wakes are such odd things.
-
Then you're OBVIOUSLY not an alcoholic :(
-
I am ;D

(Searches Google.)
(Oh.)
Well, last time I went to a pub was... Err, a couple of years ago, The Saracen's Head in Amersham... (If you ever go on a pilgrimage of the Holy Places Saint Nao visited :niark:)
The owner was a cool French guy. Had a coke and a meat pie. Yummy. Now, everytime I go to the UK, I have to eat my meat pie (more precisely, my steak & kidney pie). I even went to the best UK place for these (in London), very expensive but... OMG it was so good!
...........Okay, now technically that means I went to another pub after the Saracen's Head. But that's the last one I remember the name of. :P
My life is fascinating™.Mind you, I spent a lot of time eating at the buffet and talking to people I hadn't ever seen before or hadn't seen in over a decade that had all descended and were also partaking of the buffet that I'd helped pay for.

Well... My last one-- I was too young to remember well. I mostly remember the actual *bad* moments.
-
Yes, it's normally a diversionary question, but there would be one shining moment where I'd have asked it for the genuine reason - whether he actually wanted more tea or not. We said to him at the start that he was more than welcome to come join us in the pub because there would be tea and coffee as well as alcohol, and I was rather happy to see him there, just thought it was awesome.
Seriously, it's lager everywhere? What about wine, eh?
Here? We're a nation of lager louts. Wine is usually considered to be for the upper classes, for those who are lower-middle class trying to be upper class, very rarely, the wife or girlfriend of a drinker. That's not to say that that's going to be true all the time (my dad rather liked wine) but it's certainly the stereotype.
I generally avoid lager unless it happened to be Kronenberg.more precisely, my steak & kidney pie
S&K is one of the few things I avoid; mostly because I dislike the feel and taste of kidney. Steak and ale pie is usually OK though.More interesting than mine  To be fair though, I don't tend to dine out in pubs much, tend to be a takeaway person.Well... My last one-- I was too young to remember well. I mostly remember the actual *bad* moments.
:( I thought the wake went rather well actually, got to talk to a lot of people about my dad, people I hadn't seen in years, family, co-workers, friends - and it rounded off the service rather fittingly.
-
I eat a lot a Steak and Kidney in my time, also Liver has well, I also had Roast Beef with English mustard which also has a very strong taste, because of that some people don't like English mustard, it pretty much like Marmite really. You can have Roast Beef with French or American mustard.
-
The problem with kidneys is that urine goes through it... Sometimes it just smells the same :P
-
See, there's the thing. I don't have a sense of smell so it doesn't bother me, but it does mean that I'm much more sensitive to how things *taste* and their texture than most people.
-

I can always wash it down with Black Pudding. :P
-
/mehas another beer.
-
Tea but no beer thankyouverymuch :P
-
Tea? No thanks, I don't like weed with water...
-
Tea's good, it's soothing, hydrating, and refreshing. I drink a lot of tea.
-
I prefer Coffee, I find drinking too much tea, make me feel like shit, the only time I have tea is with breakfast, than the rest of the day it's Coffee.
Motivated by Caffeine, I am, sometimes with Brandy in.
-
Beer is all that and CHEAP! :P
-
I like tea!! :)

"The entire British Empire was built on cups of tea … and if you think I'm going to war without one, mate, you're mistaken." ^_^
-
C. J. Some tea's have more Caffeine than most coffee.
I vote tea. :)
-
Double Rye and Coke short.
That'll put some lead in your pencil. :)
-
My girlfriend actually stocks up on M&S tea whenever we go to England. (I prefer to stock up on Double Whoppers :P)
Hate coffee, hate tea. I drink hot chocolates. Yeah, coz I'm such a rebel. I drink Nesquik, I'm a rebel.
-
Nesquik is AWESOME. I tend not to indulge because it means I would otherwise consume milk at a ferocious rate.
-
Okay, then we're the Nesquik fan club.
(Although I started hating them when they changed their mascot about 15 years ago. My childhood, up in smoke. All that for a stupid rabbit...)
-
*Bear munches through the contents of another pic-a-nic basket*
Tea - try Tetley Extra Strong...hey hey hey !

-
Nesquik and Coffee, I could make a lovely Mocha out of those two!
-
Indeed. Now I want one :P
-
I put Nesquick into my protein shakes if that counts. :)
Gave up alcohol years ago.
-
But alcohol will never gonna give you up. Wait... I think that was rick astley...
